It won't be ready but we will be getting it all the same. Personaly I'll take a nice long holliday doing duty missions or mining in space while they tweak it on live.

Teras Kasi will still be very useful to Jedi because of the good defences and the Innate armour.

The moment you equip a lightsaber, your TKM innate armor goes out the window and Jedi innate armor kicks in (20% at initiate and 70% at master force defender).

Oh? Well, afaik know the TK innate-armor is not linked to the weapon u use. They only way to lose it is equiping any armor-piece. (thats without Jedi tho)

What if u dont have any TK-Skill as Jedi? Will the armor still work with LS equiped only?
But I would consider this a bug and report it. IMHO the highest (better) innate armor should always be active, no matter what weapon u have equiped.

And you didn't read the part of the expansion that mentions the combat update being part of it ? We are getting the CU on may the 5th no matter what condition it is in.

Defense???
what are you smoking dude? We have no defenses. We get about 10 more defense total than the next profession. Anyone can dabble TK 4100 to get every benefiet that we would get at master...
Meditate healing including wunds, powerboost, force of will, and improved center of being.

We're done for.

Crap? Only compared to current live TKM. In the CU TKM is actually one of the better professions IMHO. For not being a "Damage Dealer" it does in fact do plenty of damage.

TKM in the CU has some of the best defenses in the game now... all the state recoveries, innate armor, high ranged/melee defense.

The lack of moves/animations is what kills CU TKM for me... but its not suffering from any sort of nerf otherwise in the CU.

TKM does plenty of damage when using an attack from a different melee profession... yes, but using our 3 lousy TKA attacks, we don't do near what the other melee professions will do to you.

Hmmm, we are not supposed to do damage as good as the other melee professions - because we areTANKS...i'm starting to think some ppl. want it both ways or just want to return to our GODMODE status under the current system.

Can people stop saying we're tanks. We're anything but tanks. A tank will soak up damage. We do our best to evade damaging attacks. A better word for us, in my opinion, would be distraction. We wave our hands and hope we can rabbit different attacks made at us so we can lightly jab at our opponent until he/she sees stars or we get tired.

I was trying TKM/MBH, dueled a fencer template, and it was close, but i won, right after, I dueled a MBH/MCarb all ranged template, and got owned, it looks as if the ranged professions may be a little better this time around. This may be a wrong assumption on my part, but I just thought I would throw that out as a possible topic of discussion.

Best Defenses? Our defenses are only better than the next guy's by about 15 points. Improved CoB; well anyone can dable 11 Points in TKM to get that. Enhanced CoB sucks anyway. I get hit just as often with it on as I do off.

All master professions Save BH and commando I think get all the recoveries. We burn thru action faster than any of the other professions, so in the long haul of REAL PVP not dueling outside cnet, we're not gonna do a whole hellava lot.

Innate Armor is noticeably worse than real armor, and the current TC armor from frog sis crap compared to what armorsmiths are making. Beyond that with a good set of armor the encumberances are null and void for every profession save the poor pistoleers.

TKM does plenty of damage when using an attack from a different melee profession... yes, but using our 3 lousy TKA attacks, we don't do near what the other melee professions will do to you.

Beg to differ, I was teamed up with a friend on Test, me in no armor as a TKM/Master Commando/Novice Fencer, her as I forget what but in Stormtrooper armor...I was tanking, getting hit more by what we were fighting, but when I couldn't keep aggro off of her, she was getting hurt WORSE than I was. With me in basic clothing, no tapes, no nada. She even got incapped once and I never did. If it was just '15 points' that were making a difference, I want those 15 points in Live.

What's more...I wasn't even using the Improved CoB. Hit it once or twice when things got hairy, left it alone most of the time to save my action bar. If anything was hampering us both, it was our action going down far too fast.

As for '3 lousy TKA attacks', even with no melee specials from Commando, I had the TK ones, plus a bleed from Novice Fencer, armor break from Brawler, more attacks than I knew what to do with. I was constantly knocking down their armor, dizzying them, and so forth. I finally felt like a real TKM tank, unencumbered by armor so I could run around all over the place when I needed to, missing rarely since I had no armor to lower my hit possibility, taunting the critters to get them off her and onto me--having five level 79 attackers on me at one point with us both at level 80--and making a difference, instead of being another faceless composite clone. I'm sorry, I have to think that if you can't see possibilities, fine possibilities, for being Teras Kasi in the post-CU world, you're not looking for them, or are getting too blinded by your own prejudices against the CU to see them.

TKM for life indeed, they'll take away my knucklers when they pry them from my cold dead fingers.

It will sort lots of problems because the developers didn't actively take any advice from the playerbase on how to address those problems (or at least they didn't say anything to us).

I know this is coming off very negatively, but keep in mind that the many changes they are making really did not warrrant the "EQ2 system" I'm hearing so much about.

I mean, seriously, what good is a combat system that takes your eyes off the combat and has you actively focusing on the toolbar? Without the combat queue there's no way to effectively participate in combat. The current system in live, though in need of "fixing" (notice I didn't not say change as the combat was supposed to receive an upgrade and not a replacement), allows me to queue up attacks and switch between aggressors if need be. It also allows me to be able to get by with the skin of my teeth if I end up fighting an unintended aggressor who happens to be tougher than I am.

The, so-called, CU doesn't allow for on the fly changes to situations. If an aggressor is higher levels than you your defense mods can help you avoid being hit, but nothing you do will keep you alive. One hit from that higher level aggressor is instant incap and seeing as the aggressor is unintended chances are that it's aggressive so it WILL kill you.

Again, they could have done away with buffs. Did they not look at how much better buffs and food were than spice and thought it was ok to label spice contraband? They could have reduced the effectiveness of buffs. Instead they foisted a whole new system...excuse me, they foisted a system they ported from another game they developed on the playerbase. It was something we didn't ask for and it was nothing they had previously stated it was going to be.

I'm reminded of something the playerbase said two years ago. "I do not want this game to be EQ in space!" Funny how that was said two years ago and it's coming to fruition now. The playerbase must be psychic or maybe the playerbase is a lot more concious of the game than the developers are. Think what you want on it.

Ok I think a lot of this is petty crap. I mean animations? Please this is Test Center, they are and should be focusing on important things not trival crap like how 1337 your tkm looks when he is kicking someone. You alll need to get in there and test (like I do every day and bug everything weird over and over again) or be quiet and stop making assumptions. I have been TKM since 10-03 and it has always been an excellent profession. Be patient and wait or get in there and test, don't bring your uninformed and ignorant opinions into these threads, you are not helping anything or anyone by doing so. Yes there are problems yes if we help they will get resolved. If you don't like it leave, if you don't like it, strive to make it better, but sitting here saying how you heard this and that means ZIPPO.
