Thread: CU is going to make me quit TKM and maybe the game

I've been a TKM since 2003. I've stuck with it despite the ridiculous armor that everybody wears and the high kinetic resist PVE. It was my hope that they would leave TKM untouched and fix the armor and PVE.
Instead, what do they do? Remove a majority of my moves, make me slower, remove my combat que, remove my state defencesand to top it all off no armor!. Jeez, I preordered the expansion, now I may have to rethink my decision...

Did they? I thought it was still being just tested and tweaked...

At the moment we have no nice animations, only about 5 moves we use (and 2 of those will disappear once we figure out which of the 3 damage moves is the most effective) and combat is boring and slow.

i agree teri kasi was a comfort of the jedi being nerfed now its all sh1t.

Teras Kasi will still be very useful to Jedi because of the good defences and the Innate armour.

I tried TKM today and was horrified at how pathetic it was. As for the armor...I IS REAR UGLY and looks like something Goodwill rejected.

I haven't tried playing as a TKM on TC5 yet. I think I really have to get to that asap. TKM was the profession I wanted as soon as they announced it before releasing SWG: An Empire Divided. The whole time before that I wondered where I'd fit in and when TKA was announced everything fell into place for me.
Despite me being ineffective in PvP because of armor and high PvE kinetic resists I kept it. If it, indeed, is really being destroyed then I guess I'll chalk up as a win for all those who wanted melee to really suck because /sardonicism "you didn't see a melee fighter in the movies except for Jedi" /end sardonicism.

can you say test center? the animations are still in, however they are testing and fixing core which means they have NOT tied in OUR animations into combat moves yet till they finalize the core combat system. Geeezzz no wounder TK's suck, people like you jumping the gun and throwing a hissy fit..

what are you smoking dude? We have no defenses. We get about 10 more defense total than the next profession. Anyone can dabble TK 4100 to get every benefiet that we would get at master...
Meditate healing including wunds, powerboost, force of will, and improved center of being.
We're done for.

In other cases or situations assuming would get you ridiculed, but with the way this game has been handled it's become second nature to second guess EVERY change or addition that's coming. If people are jumping the gun, they have good reason whether you think so or not. There's a way to visit the old threads and see countless items that were proposed and not implemented without comment on them from development. Take a look and you'll see for yourself that we're not wrong here.

funny I never seen a link dev stating cu is getting released soon...matter infact only date i seen is for the expansion but not the cu.

The testing isn't over, but considering how short the time is there's not much room to fix anything now.
And yes after I'm done testing CU it's pretty much the end of my playing SWG.

ive heard the CU is in a really bad state from testers....no freakin way it will be ready i think it will be the death of this game.
