i always use my knuks on my alt steveo in naritus they increase speed and dmg why not use them?

Heres the deal man a vk adds to ur total dmg output which raises ur total dps...me being a dosh yeah i get a nice ua dmg bonus but u also add the vk dmg ontop of that..i will only not use a vk when i start gettin low on ham...come on now unless u are goin for total rpg it doesnt make any sense not to use a vk imo. u are kiknda nerfing urself.. also u never need to get a speed sliced vk as long as the speed is under 2.0 u will be hitting at the speed cap..being master and using a 2.0 vk means u are acually hitting at 1.0 which is the cap ..so pray for 35% dmg slices everyone

I fight unbuffed (apart from powerboost) and unarmored (but for ubese gloves for looks), and I rarely use VKs. I might equip them for some PvP, but only if it makes RP sense - I don't pull them out from under my leotard in 1 second when attacked on the dance floor. Haven't repaired my VKs once, and I have had them since September or so.

Riddick uses them (in the chronicles movie).

So how do you roleplay? What are your TK motives for killing durnies? I guess you could have a rebel storyline, but stormtroopers would down you in about 5 seconds.
I understand the yearn for realism. But as a previous poster said, using VKs you can still fight in an unarmed style, and Having armor piercing 1 is essential to beat any upper level content in this game. We can pine for robes like the jedi are getting, but lets face it we are far from the most broken of professions, MOST of our moves actually work as intended and we have quite a variety. And the only worry we have is how bad we are going to get hit in the rebalance, and whether they can get Defensive Acuity to work. So lets stop bothering are obviously way to busy correspondent with Whether this moves animation looks dorky, or please give us something your only giving to jedi, because its not going to happen. Be reasonable and try to take it from a devs point of view and give them things that actually concern the game as a whole.

Oh you're not the only one. I don't use armor or VK's in PvE. Saves me money on armor and weapons. I only break out the armor and VK's when PvP comes around.

It's not even tactically advisable to not use knucklers in PvP. Unless you're a complete moron who seems to think that an extra 210 damage with AP1 is bad.

I think it's rediculus to not gain a huge advantage just for the sake of keeping "unarmed" combat to having no weapon. If you dont like then HAM cost thats ok (still stupid) but to not use VKs just because you belive unarmed should be unarmed is appauling. In fact if TKA stayed how it is now and VKs diddnt exist, i would drop TKM. I tried killing some rancors with no VK and it sucked! The attacks are so much slower and the damage is significatly reduced. And if you wanna complain about ham cost thats still dumb. If im buffed and have used brandy, my specials use about 2-3 mind. I laugh when TKAs dont use Vks because they suck without them.

Besides what weapons in this game actually match their class?
Can you imagine Heavy Swordsman not using the Powerhammer just because it isn't a sword? Or Rifleman not using a T-21 because it doesn't "Look like a rifle?"
Powerhammers are not swords, Vks are not unarmed.

Doesn the speed of a VK matter when you hit master? Can it stil reduce the speed of your attack at TKM?

No. Because our speed mod is over 100 we always cap with our moves.
As for other posters...guess we should have a Hammerer Profession, and a Gaffi Sticker profession...maybe throw the T21 to the Commanods since they are heavy weapons specialists, but change their name to heavy weapon specialist because commando could be interepreted as more of an elite soldier who could be like a squad leader...ah sheesh this could take forever...
