No one is saying don't complain. By all means state what problems you feelthe class is having, start petitions etc. But for the love of god can we stop the crying before we all drown in a river of tears?
Maybe my grasp on forum usage is wrong but I would have thought the dev forum the place for ideas/rants while the tka board might still contain some usefull info for those of us still trying to enjoy the game.
Normaly I don't post in forums because people have a way of getting very irrational if you don't agree with them. But the level of whining in here has gotten too much.
Yes we have taken a hit to our former abilities. We are still a very powerful class if played right. It's time to either get back on the horse or go buy a car(read pistol).

Seriously, off your high horse already.
Replace every instance of "but I am still having fun" with "but I am still having fun and if you're not you're some sort of whiny self-pitying crybaby who doesn't know what the hell they are doing" and that dialogue would ring a little more true.
You'vemellowed somewhat since your 'compassion' post... but today you've gone back to patting yourself on the back at the expense of others.
I am sure you're a nice person in real life, but you really aren't being veryhelpful (in the sense you are boosting your own self-esteem while striving to invalidate the feelings of others - even after swearing to show a little compassion) in this forum and like to fight over petty things and make folks feel worse about things rather than better.
It's not very productive and it's unkind, but obviously you enjoy it or you wouldn't be doing it.
I am frustrated, so I post to share my frustration with others. No it's not the end of the world, but part of the coping process is mutual commiseration. Kicking folks while they are down is just poor sportsmanship.
Sure, some of us rant, but just let them get it out of their system already. If you don't respond at all they quickly scroll off the first page of topics.
Unless they make some drastic changes in a week, I'm dropping TKA AND Rifleman (Anyone hear about the T-21 nerf?) and going Commando/Pistoleer.
I have no complaints or suggestions ATM, because they will just be ignored anyways.
It'd pretty frustrating for 2 TK Masters not to be able tokill 3 dark blue con bocatts even when we start the battle with full HAM.
It seems to me that the people who are 'Okay with the changes' always leave out important details about their situation ... thing such as: they are part of a large PA, or they are creature handlers (and use pets to tank), or they have a strong probot that helps them out in a pinch, or they are only novice TKA and they have yet to fight a 'real' red con mob.

People might pidgeon-hole me and some others as being "okay with the changes" because we say we can still have fun with our characters. I can only speak for myself, but I DO NOT like the changes that were made. Anytime your character gets nerfed, it's no fun... but I try to adapt as best I can and if I can find substantial enjoyment in the game, then I keep on playing. If I can NOT find any enjoyment, I quietly thank those who helped me out, say my goodbyes and cancel my account. I personally get no enjoyment or sense of accomplishment from constantly harping on how screwed up something is.
Tip: The loudest protest is silence. If you think the class is THAT screwed, just quit playing it. If you think the game as a whole is THAT screwed,just quit all together. That is my advice and my opinion, you can take it or leave it... but "my opinion is just as valid as yours" (I only add that because"concerned gamers"keep throwing thatcomment out there).
To answer Metherians question: I belong to a small PA. I have one small "Mouse" droid named "Dougie". My only skills are PistolIV and Musicianship III. I've solo'd all through my TKA experience... fighting only that which I think I can be victorious against.

Ok, yes I am part of a PA but most of the time i hunt solo. Yes I have a pet, a baby cupa which is only for ch xp and getscalled in at the end of the fight. I do the tanking for my pet. I have 2/4/4/3 and have fought 'real' red cons.I also find my char quite effective in pvp.
I'm not 'okay with the changes', I just think there's still fun to be had and am trying to get others to see that.
I think that some of the problem is that the con scale is out of whack. As a TKM, there are blue ( very few but some) and white cons that prob should be yellow to me. In fact, I can't remember seeing many yellow cons in the game once I've made master. Most mobs jump from white to red for me now. I am not one who spams knockdown. BTW, I don't know many who do spam knockdown, if I see a TKA who does, I explain to them why it is a bad tactic to use.
Yes, I have also been positive after the big patch, but I have gone about it in a different way from people such as Selwynn.

After the big patch, I immediately offered help to all TKA's who wanted to make master. Nothing else was said. I got a great response, but now the post has been buried away. When I'm out in the field running around, I could get jumped by Tuskens. They actually con blue to me. Can I survive fending off four blue con Tuskens? Nope. Please don't try to say oh I can beat a red why can't you beat a blue. Its not constructive at all. You want to be really helpful to our class, then join up on my post, and start taking out all the people on your server. When I log in nowdays, I have six-ten people asking me if I want to grind right away. I think something like that is much better than saying I am better than a tkm because.......
Having fun in the game and noticing that some of our skills are broken are two different subjects. I am having fun in the game with my friends and so on but I am concerned about certain problems with my profession. I guess its useless to compare one profession to another but my husband is pistoleer and with each box he gets stronger and obtains neat new skills. I still do the same damage as a 0122 TKA as I did as a n00b TKA. And using skills I obtained as a brawler not TKA skills. Now that's a problem. Why is that so hard to understand? I still play the game with high hopes and have a lot of fun. But Iwill not hold a blind eye to the problems like some seem to want to do. I dont mean to offend anyone and I apologize if I did.
