When/If I PvP its usualy in citys, so you can take cover behind houses and such if they kite. If they dont come back then ah well, one less kill for you. If they do come back they need to come close to be able to hit you, thats when you burst or just starts running towards them. Lunge1 and lunge2 are realy good against any profession.. but even better against kiters.
Ive got a pure melee char. TKM, mBrawler, Fencer 4.4.4.0, Pikeman 0.0.4.0 . So Im capped in both ranged and melee defences. If you cant feel them in PvP then get a ranged meatlump or whatever and get them to attack you. They will eventualy kill themselves with specials.
The rest of the points Ive got on a vendor and TN.
I have no real problem with ranged as long as theres buildings around.
