I agree in full Zodiac-B. I would liketo have the option. Solo should be possible, while Grouping should be high-risk, yet high XP or loot return. I would assume soloing is already possible, but finding something "green" has been nearly impossible. And at my skill level, I seem to fall to yellows (4/4/4/4 TKA only, no other prof). I understand that killing a red or purple con should meet with failure when soloing, but a yellow con should be possible, no? Yellow means "about your level" from what I understand.
Before the CU, the TKA was much too over-powered. It was rediculous. However after the CU, I feel equally underpowered.
At lvl51, I was owned by a lvl54 bark burrower mite on Endor last night. Each time it incapped me, I got back up and tried again, experimenting with anything that might help. Death followed three incaps. I recovered and went back after the same bug since it wasn't far from where I was respawning, untill I was killed three times (and all the incaps in between.) Abug "about my level" floored me repeatedly. I'm ashamed.
I guess I'm not understanding how this is more fun, which was the advertised purpose of the CU. I'm all for the CU, I love the changes and ideas - except for the fact thata huge percentof the communityis pretty upset that we all feel under-powered. I'm glad the professions were all balanced for the most part, we desperately needed it, butsoloing is HEAVILY unbalanced in favor of the creatures. Greens are the only thing that seem to be able to be killed with any certainty - and when the double XP week is over, the XP for that is going to suck.
Being primarily a solo'er because of the hours I log in, the CU has broken the game for me. Everyone has told me to switch to a ranged class so I can root or snare and pelt a target from afar, preferably rifleman. That's foolish, I want to play what I LIKE, not whatever class seems to be the flavor of the moment or stronger than anyone else.
What can be done to make TKA enjoyable again? Perhaps there's something I'm missing that the community can point out for me and any others interested. I'm quite open to suggestions.

I have been a TKM/MD for almost a year now. I don't remember ever posting in here but I do read this forum. And like all the other goodbye threads I am sorry to see another player leave. I will wish you well,suggest youtake a break and then consider trying it again. ![]()
TKM/MD is still a very good template. I was on Dath last night doing solo missions with no problem. Yes it took a few days to relearn the prof. Yes maybe some people don't want to relearn it. I am lvl 80, was doing a lvl 82 brackaset mission with 2 adults and a baby. I got incapped once but beat the lair without any major problems(after figuring out that my VK was hurting me hehe). I then did a lvl 80 enraged rancor. Had at least 2 on me at all times and was attacked by nearby aggros and never got incapped. The new style of play requires more time to look at all the attacks, heals and combos that will make your character an effective tank. It's challenging and much for fun then before. Yeah I miss being uber ;-) but I found last night it was much more satisfying playing around with the different attacks and learning then just spamming the same button over and over again.
I do miss the cool animations though. Looking into swords tonight to see about getting some back.

a great combo now is TKM and Master Pikes. I can easily do level 82 mission on my own and tank 2 at a time. The advanced warcry and intimidate work well with your tank. Then use the pike attacks while in unarmed mode for increased damage. But if you have just one more person with you, let alone 2+ ppl, you just scream through xp. I find this combo to be great for village grinders. I was super against th CU, even signed the petiton, now I'm being won over by it.

Teras kasi is after the CU completly useless...now this is no simple flame ( well basically it is...but these bugs where already on Testcenter...but no one ever thought they should be removed )...
how can it be that a tk with a weapon is doing less damage then with the bare fists...hmmm...ok...maybe the tk now is like some Shaolin monks...right ok...acceptable...but then again the only tk attack the combo is not working ? Great...thats very helpful when trying to fight something...now lets say something about the armor...now that I and many others as well spend millions of credits for decent armor that now ends as bone or padded...the tk is taking way less damage without armor then when being protected ? Another thing Im a bit disappointed is the strenght of the power boost...right its giving me additional 500 health points...unfortunatly taunt seems not to work properly with tk not to mention that the melee FS trees dont have any effect on tk...basically that means a critter once attacked is fleeing from me...while Im running behind it like a madman its cutting through my health like a hot knife through butter...to have additional 500 health is not really of use when critters dealing damage of about 250 a hit ( with being centered )...Ive read in the devs bug list that at least the broken combo attack is a known bug...
Im a bit curious about the fact that any Carbineer or BH or Ranger is way better in "tanking" then the dedicated melee ones like me with master brawler/swords/tk...funnily enough taunt and the melee FS skills are working good when having a sword equipped...probably tk is no longer a melee profession ? Who knows...I cant really think with all these little funny colors on my screen thats blocking half of my screen size...you thought drugs are bad ? heh...
