Well, while I was one of those that had to make it through the entire brawler tree of unarmed without VK's, since artisans weren't able to create them yet, I can still understand the pain of having something good, then having it taken away. However, you can do what we did, and just use bezerk on blue and white cons. That should render upwards of 150-160 damage; not quite the glory of 200-300, but it's what you'll have to learn to live with. Yes, it will take you an extra day or two to grind out the difference in experience...I think it took me a 5 days to get Master Unarmed without VK's (70k XP), but i was only playing 2-3 hours/day.
