Thread: Healing our own wounds should move to Master
Like at meditate one, you heal at about the same rate you would in a hospital...meditate II gives you ohter things so leave wound healing as it is...Level III slightly faster..level IV slighty faster still (but not as fast as it currently is) and master you can heal as you do now.
Don't forget how fast tk's rack up the Battle Fatigue..Let your BF get high enough and your ability to heal yourself with stims (if you've got medic) is reduced. Factor wounds into the equation and..shrug...personally I would rather not go into town more often than I do (and I do go in a lot...i'ma social butterfly). I have my main mind bar as high as it will go so wounds to my other stats really hurt.
It's easy when you're a master to say, move it to the master box...I was master and am now 4044. I dno't consider that a mere "dabble"..and I would be upset if i had no wound healing.

Well it's nice to see that many of you agree with my idea. I'm not sure if hte dev's considered this but they should. I really dislike dabblers who take up teras kasi for meditate 4 only. Anyway, thx again guys for ur posts and for agreeing wtih my idea =)
I agree with you, but only if it is across the board. Every profession deserves a significant payoff for obtaining the Master level. I think that those payoffs should mean something and not just be an incremental improvement of an existing benefit wherever possible.
The reason it has to be across the board -- in my opinion -- is that there are too many masters of various professions who have the attitude "I've made it, now let's pull up the drawbridge and keep everyone out". Many don't realize that while they view their profession as the "sacred cow", they happily dabble in other professions to the consternation of those "masters".
Meditation is a unique skill in that it provides the only practical means in the game to heal oneself without the expenditure of any skill points in a medical profession. Moving some of it's most powerful benefits out of the range of dabblers is fine, but only if similar checks and balances are applied to everyone.
I disagree. And this is coming from a once master tka and now meditation4 tree holder.
Force of Will is the only one that should move to Master, because its the only skill that is usable in combat.
Heal wounds is a very popular dabbling tool because im sure that like myself, everyone that takes meditation4 is just friggen SICK of having to find a **edit** medic to heal wounds from 9 different ham bars (and yes while medics are everywhere, not all have woundpacks for each bar, and the great majority are just novice medic to stimB themselves in combat). Same with cure poison/disease (which cant be used in combat either)
PowerBoost is very usefull, but wears out fairly quickly, and its the one tool that in my opinion, makes up for the lack of weapons AP2/AP3 and damage types found in other melee proffessions... for it lets the teras kasi thats going up the skill trees to survive the bit longer to make up for that lack.
1) Dabbling is what this game was designed around.
2) How many professions do YOU (not directed at anyone in particular) have that you aren't going to master? i.e. If you are using stim B's do you have Master Medic or are you DABBLING?!?!?!!?

I disagree even on moving force of will.
Meditate IV is only good for dabbling if you happen to already be doing TKA professions lines anyway. Otherwise I can't justify going up just to get meditate IV, when I get nearly all the same benefits out of a mere 15 points from the novice medic profession, a profession nearly everyone has justto use stim-b's if nothing else. Yeah I may have to carry woundpacks, but finding b's is a pretty **edit** easy thing to do nowadays.
And your wrong... there isn't anything other than craft a medic/doctor can't do in battle. We can cure poison/disease, heal wounds, heal state effects, EVEN BUFF... all during combat. (buffs, wound healing requires medicaldroid be out).
Sick of everyone going to Teras Kasi for Med 4.... That is a LOT of unarmed combat JUST for med 4... If they do the combat and get the XP then they deserve it...
What kills me is ALL the people who get Master andwant the skillsTHEY were using BEFORE THEY made Master changed so that only Masters have them.. Fair to them as they already have Master. Basically "I have been using this for sometime and well.. Since I am a Master.. Only Masters should be able to blah blah blah...."
Dabblers man... It's thewave of the future.
