That's one thing that Dantooine has over Dathomir, and that's solo groups. Even with the Village, the Science Outpost on Dathomir isn't very populated on my server. On the other hand, the Mining Outpost is filled with people, you can usually find a nearly full solo group in under 5 minutes at any given time. Plus there are always docs buffing and dancers/musicians set up to buff in the cantina.

How is it a decreased travel time when I have to join a group on another planet and get buffs there? And I have to leave the group and return to the planet when I want entertainer buffs again, and rejoin or look for another group? Also when my doc buffs wear off, I have to return to Dantooine again.

It's basically the same amount of travel time, except I don't have to travel until I for sure am ready to convert the XP. If I were to buff on Dantooine then grind on Dathomir and die (totally plausible on a planet inhabited by Nightsisters) then I have to go back to Dantooine, get buffs, then back to Dathomir...

No thanks. If Dathomir was less of a ghost town then it would be a better place to grind.

Running giant baz nitches: only travel time is to and from village

Join solo group anywhere (I usually hop into a group at MO on dant or trade outpost on dath) - get buffed anywhere (usually have to jump to coronet for a decent buff lately) - go to science outpost - cap xp - travel to village - convert xp - travel to outpost - cap xp again - reach village as buffs fade - convert xp - get rebuffed from docs grinding xp in village (servers with lower populus may not be able to find buffs here) - back to outpost for more xping

I'vewas using stalkers and just started using giant baz nitches. I've found it much easier to cap twice per session on nitches than on stalkers. Just my experience.

I simply have to say that with buffs/armor/food available dying on dath is about as likely as running into a dark jedi master on dant. As a tk, I've been able to take out the ns enemies i've run into without even having to don armor.

Anyway, maybe its just bria that this works well on. Can't say anything about other servers.

Stalkers are excellent for xp, no doubt. I relied on them to master many a prof and net most of my fs xp to this point.

I'm just presenting an alternative to stalkers. I'd recommend players test out several different methods and find what works best for them on their server. Too each his own.

I'd do except for the entertainer buffs.

See I'd been relying on brandy and ahrisa for mind. But the brandy I get always wears off before my stomach is empty, which means downtime. I hate that downtime, it really cuts into my grinding, especially since it happens a bunch of times during a buff session. I found that a musician buff + one brandy is perfect for grinding, especially since my stomach empties long before the next brandy is needed.

This works out great, but the musician buff itself doesn't last more than 2 hours, so I end up having to do it twice during a single buff session. Since there is always someone ready to buff at the Mining Outpost that's not a big deal if I'm grinding on Dantooine.

I'll tell you though... I really wish that the Science Outpost had the people to support serious grinding. I'd love it if I could be on the same planet as the Village when I did grinding.

ah, there's the difference, I don't bother with musician/dancer buffs anymore. Instead, I double down some brandy and a piece of ahrisa and I'm good to go. Bit more expensive, but I don't have to worry about that darn offset buff duration. If onlyentertainers buffed for 3 hours instead of 2. Oh well.

Good luck to all on their xp needs.

You must have some long-lasting brandy. I can never find anything that lasts more than 36 minutes. My ahrisa lasts longer than 40, I wish my brandy did.

Ouch 36 minutes on brandy. Difference between servers really shows in the quality of goods here. My brandy lasts almost exactly as long as my ahrisa, around 40-45 minutes. Definitely nice to have brandy and ahrisa fading at nearlythe same time.

I've never done Giant baz nitch in groups, how many spawn per lair? I know they do 5k xp per creature and have roughly the same payout as stalkers, if they spawn 5 at a time, then i'll edit the guide cuz your right, planet hopping is a little irritating.

giant baz nitchs are 5 per wave just like stalkers, long as you're in a nice sized solo group.

maybe its just me, but giant baz nitches also don't seem to spawn many babies which means a better average xp gain

Nice post. I like hunting on dathomir myself. Like you said...just easier to cash in xp. Two thinks that I would add in are the kamurith (spelling) , and craggy bolma's. Those also are very easy for TKM's to kill and give good xp and cash! May the grind be with you!!!
