Thread: Regarding Knockdown

In my experience, KD+diz has worked quite well on other players.
It's nowhere near reliable enough. Since posture changes were broken via the timer, either the knockdown hits but the dizzy doesn't, or the dizzy hits but the knockdown doesn't. It is much safer to dizzy a few times until it lands, then lunge a few times until that lands. Good luck getting and staying within range though.
Any idea whether "couple of seconds" is 2 or 20? Just curious if I should just re-read this as "fixed Dizzy".

It seems to be broken. I was knoced sensless by a Longhorn and was dizzied and was unable to stand up just kept falling down until I was incapped. But when I was gonna revenge and put 10 dizzy on that critter and then a knocdown it just jumped straight up again as nothing had happend. After this I tried on several other Longhorns and some Bols but with the same result.
On the other hand, them devs probably just wanted to get rid of that kd bugg we had after big patch as soon as possible and just did reverted in panic.
For testing purposes use something with high health (torton or better) that won't screw you up too badly, and take your VKs off. Dizzy, knockdown, when you get a success see how many attacks you get before the posture in the little window next to its name changes.
Repeat. Get a good sample size on the same critter, to see if the dizzy ever works (or if they're back to 'I don't care if I'm dizzy and down, I can always stand'. Before the combat publish, I could only get dizzy to actually help on things with pockets (stormtroopers, rebels, pirates, whatever), dizzy and kd on an animal never actually did anything useful to it.
Is it just me, or does dizzy seem broken again? I can KD a critter just fine, but whether it's dizzy or not it just gets right back up. I know knockdown was an exploit after the big patch because creatures would just stay down, but now they dizzy seems to have no effect, and KD seems just as silly as it was prior to this week.
This is my experience on Valcyn. Anyone else notice this?
when i make a target dizzy then knock them down they seem to get up fine, which i dont understand ?
am i doing something wrong ?
I wonder why dizzy doesn't work on creatures. If I knockdown/dizzy a humanoid NPC he's going to be staring at the sky for quite a while, but any critter I use on just gets right back up and shakes off the dizzy, every single time, without exception. The type of creature doesn't make a difference - dizzy is just as ineffective against a bipedal Squill (should have no more dizzy resistance than Joe Swooper) as it is against a dalyrake (with that many legs it should be hard to knockdown or dizzy).
Anyone else seeing this?
