The Point Is: Play what you think of your character as in your mind. That's how you'll truly enjoy this game. Don't let all of these number-player leet doods make you feel inferior or weak just because you cannot do some of the fantastical things they can. This is roleplaying and you'll be the one that actually fulfills it's purpose, not them. Enjoy yourself.

There is no class combination in this game that is bad if you enjoy playing it.

umm how can a teras kasi master NOT tank better than any pet there is? (except maybe extinct pets like webmasters)? (assuming he has doctor like he did in his template)

Look at the facts.. TKM in ubese.. 73% kinetic / light armor.. Pretty much the same as the best tank pet in the game (graul mauler)..

However, we have stuff like unarmed thoughness. And let me tell you this, unarmed thoughness is HUGE. I just finished off xping unarmed today, and was going to finish my last smuggler skill.. Wow... what a difference tanking wielding a pistol than wielding VK's/unarmed.. I was taking 3-4 times more damage.
Plus, we will have +96 block, counterattack, dodge and evade next patch

I can tell you that I tank better than any pet, assuming that said pet isn't an ATST

Im working on the TKM/CHM combo myself...I think its great so far. Id rather be fighting with my pets then hiding behind them firing broken pistoleer moves or something

to everyone that thinks a graul mauler can tank better than a TKA, learn to play your class!

i hunt for holocrons on dantooine with my BH/CH buddy and his FRENZIED graul (better than mauler) can barely take on 1 of the AR2, 80% resists fs npc's without heals, i can tank 2 at a time pretty easily with only doctor buffs (no powerboost or spice or entertainer buffs)

btw,having a merek deal with kiters for you is a really good idea i'd never thought of

Agreed there. I've personally killed two graul maulers at once and they were embolden/enraged by a very good master handler...and thus undebuffable. Still beat them both. I've killed Frenzied without a problem...Arachne Webmasters and still had 3/4 mind left. They're nothing compaired to us...as it should be. Gurrecks...bah. GSP's...please. GW's...not a chance. We are, when played properly, the best damage soaking/giving things in the galaxy. Once Center of Being comes and we all learn to use it properly, it'll become even moreso.

The only mobs I haven't been able to kill as a fully buffed TKM are Canyon Krayts and ATSTs. I've yet to fight a Nightsister with 100% Kinetic resist yet, though

73% kinetic resist + unarmed toughness + very good doctor buffs + powerboost + muon gold+ 224damage VK withough powerup = nasty piece of work

a nightsister wouldn't be so bad but you usually do not fight a nightsister you fight a nightsister and some subordinates be they npc or creature and sometimes more than one nightsister.
