Seriously though...sorry to jump in here (I'm a M.Commando/TKM btw)...Don't take that article to seriously...It's by STRONG belief that GamePro heard the rep (if they did talk to one) incorrectly...There are lots of overall combat changes going into effect that will change a lot of things including damage levels...Some professions are going up while other's are going down...The overall damage formula is changing as well which could (depending on what the formula is) seem like a NERF to everyone...There are lots of changes going in that "balance" things and I don't believe GamePro had all the details...They are a great example of why we Correspondents are not allowed at this point to spill the beans...see what happens when a group has only partial details...
On a side note I just wanted to state something and this probably doesn't surprise most of you...Ryutek has been doing a great job representing you all over in the Correspondent forum...for being new to the position, he's really jumped in with both feet and done quite an impressive job...you are being very well represented regarding the Revamp (and this comes from someone who had a hard time deciding between TKA and Commando when I first started...so I became them both)...

Didn't Jedi have a "Jedi Toughness" modifier that worked in the same way as the unarmed Toughness?
The only issue I've heard as far as Jedi are concerned is that they can't block melee at all, which is a legitimate complaint, but that's not a reason to change TK, that should be addressed from the Jedi side...
Many Jedi players say TKA toughness takes away from the effectiveness of Jedi combat, and that most of the people who defeat them...are TKA.

Don't want to make the others better so let's kick the one in the group that works.

I couldn't believe what I was reading. I surely don't want to jump the gun, or make any brash assumptions. Nor do I want to throw the board into a frenzy. I just want everyone to know the "consequences" or a combat rebalance. I also find it unsettling that developers seem to tell everyone else what they actually plan to do, except the players, but that is nothign new. How they plan to nerf Commando even more is amazing to me.
Well at least Commando can pretty much not get any worse. What next? The breaking of Fan Shot and Pistol Melee Defence to break every single Pistoleer special (exclude BH and Smuggler line) broken? Yeah how about that.
Form your own opinions, I just wanted to distribute the information to the Teras Kasi forums first.

I agree with the Jedi.
It is not fair that a TKA can do that, it should be done by Bounty Hunters....
Stop whinning about be beating, cause you are jedi doesn't say you can't die
