"The only I can think of Nightsister elders and malkloc plainswalkers"
A few days ago on Dantooine I ran into something called a Mokk Stoneshaper or something like that. Just a caveman guy. He had 100% kinetic resistance. Luckily I had a gun I could use or he would have killed me.

I agree, if the devs are going to give us a better weapon, make it cold type damage. There is only one other weapon in the game with this type of damage and it is a rifle and it is rarely used. I feel cold would be the better choice instead of heat.

I don't really think they're necessary, and they do look very bulky, not like a striking artist would use....

I still say adding a weapon to cover up other flaws is a bad idea. It's just general laziness. The truth is TKA don't want another weapon or damage type, they are frustrated by seeing many many creatures/NPCs now with 100% kinetic defense.
They need to fix the greater underlying problems in the game, problems no new weapon can correct.

So no cookies for everyone, just to advantage your profession? If you have a half ton of cookies and get 1 more what's wrong with sharing some? I doubt you're going to eat 1 thousand pounds of cookies by yourself. IF they added these for everyone would you be ticked off because it wasn't TK only? Is it another case of SWG elitism? I know there would need to be some tweaks and modified rules and makings for different weapons, but would you share the love?

I feel that TKA is fairly balanced except for the fact that some things have 100% kinetic damage, i would be happy if they put it at 99% just let us have a chance of killing it instead of making it impossible! COME ON!

I have no idea what this has to do with the discussion but I love cookies. If you're offering I'll take some.

Exactly...
That's one of the main reasons I don't like them. I hope they redesign the model for the return of them after the CB, but I don't think they will. They're so rareI don't use them for every day use like I do a VK.

yeah I agree at least 99% resists would give us a chance. I would prefer the highest resists could be were like 90-95.

npcs all need to be revamped. i see npcs with 300k+ ham, medium/high armor, 90%+ resists, and 3k+ dmg. this is way overboard. if the npc has such ridiculous amount of ham, it shouldnt have extreme armor and resists. this stuff really needs to be balanced out.
as far as capping resists, i feel npc armor resists need to cap a little bit lower than player armor caps (in combat revamp) because npcs always have uber ham to make up for the loss.

NPCs will have their stats reduced when the devs finally bring armor and buffs back down to reasonable levels. NPCs didn't used to be nearly as tough as they are now.

I really do think we needed a second damage type. If it were to be put in the game at this moment... it wouldn't change a darned thing... and this is why.
As a TKM with buffs and stock 80% special protection armor (just wearing the boots, gloves, chest, and helm of course) we can take any standard mob anyway. We won't be given Blast, or Stun type damage, so all the high end stuff like nightsisters, battle droids, nova troopers, etc. will still have super high resists to any other damage type anyway. We won't get additional AP for now, so it won't change much... we'll still be going up against medium and heavy armor. Damage tye is irrelivant.
The uber PvPers running about in 90% base armor won't be affected anymore by heat, cold, acid, electricity, energy,or blastdamage than they will by kinetic -- comp armor has resists to everything but Lighsaber damage (PvP suits have anywhere form 4%-40% stun layers in there) -- so it won't change a thing in PvP either.
We're not going to get stun, and it would be tremendously unballanced at the moment to have it (just as 300+min damage ackley batons and min 300+, light AP, jawa rifles with speed-capped riflemen are unballanced at this very moment).
In the end the COMBAT BALLANCE, which should have been out in the spring, needs to be implemented before we see any changes to TKM... which IS themost ballancedcombat profession.
