I don't know. Three sentinels shouldn't have been a problem. Were these critters using anything special. NS energy lance...a REALLY BIG pike....? Being a master TK myself (Zabrak), with an average set of VK's, I've been able to hold off 3 sents. But I got speed 1.2 VK's and I wear a full set of armor.

I think the NS's got stronger within the last day or two. I just went NS hunting last night (like most nights) and I had a hard time fighting sentinals, especially in groups. Then, I got totally PWNd by a singleprotector. These things are never a problem for me and I only got it down to 75% HAM by the time I was totally obliterated. He didn't have a batton. I had a fresh set of armor on, 2600+ doctor buffs, dancer & musician buffs, 2 brandies, 2 arhisa's, a syntha steak, CoB macro, and powerboosted. I can also was healing on average for 1600-1700 damage. Now I fight these things on a daily basis and it wiped the floor with me. I couldn't beleive what happed. I also noticed something wierd that might be a new force power or I just never noticed it, but they have the ability to lower all 9 of my stats by like 400-500. The only thing I could think was doing this was forcechoke, but I thought that was just a dot. I did notice in my combat log there were many force lightning, force knockdown, force throw, and force chokes. Many for 1000+ damage, plus the normal damage they were hitting me for.

Yea, I relooked at my logs...
Damage was high...damage was fast. And there was a FEW force powers...
But looks like my problem was my CoB macro and food. My Synthsteak didn't go off, and my CoB macro never turned on. So I was under defended and wasn't dodging as many hits. Seems it was my fault after all. Not a single armor hole in the whole log, armor took a beating from heck, but nothing that was out-of-the-ordinary. Force powers were doing some damage, but nothing like I was experiencing.

Ive been hunting NS for a long time now...used to be easy to take out like 5 protectors at a time but with force powers thats changed. I find the key to keeping their damage down now is intimidation, its alright if u dont have intimidate 2 as both intim 1 and 2 have the same effect just intim 1 has a shorter duration. So if u spam intim 1 and let it stick about 3 to 4 times most ns will stay intimed as long as it takes to take them down. If not remember to repeat, always repeat.
Hope this helps some

Yea, I am Master Brawler...and I use intimidate 2 on everything i fight.
Gonna give it another shot soon...to see what I did wrong. Right now...I have to unlock my trees for force sensitive...after a batch of that, I'll run over to the sisters and try it out.

Just a question...
But why would a TKM use a speed sliced VK?
I use damage sliced VK exclusively now, (2.2 spd) and I do Spinning Rawl once a second (give or take) and thats about 2500 dps (approx 550 dps PvP, before armor)
Just curious
They are used to grind TKA even before you get the cert it will speed the grind up

also another possible reason why you may have had a tough time with these sents is because of your lack of bleed healing ability.
if your gonna go for NS hunting solo, its pretty much required that you have medic 2/x/x/x so that you can heal the bleeds the hit you with.
and i imagine that from 3 sents you either had 1 very large bleed or several big bleeds.
i'd suggest picking up medic 2/x/x/x once you have it you'll wonder how you ever did without it.

Yea...but the logs never showed a bleed, and the icon never appeared. They dizzied me...so I could not burst run either. I think I'll find another target than nightsisters...

yes, I know.
the question was why would a TKM use a speed sliced VK. My question was to the TKMs. I used a sweet little 1.3 spd VK to grind until I was 0040.
A Teras Kasi Master using a speed sliced VK is just ....silly

Well, tried it this weekend...and death was the result.
Man, I was totally prepped and they REAMED me!
I was doing fine, until I aggro'd 3 sentinals. I wasn't scared though, 2400+ buffs all around, Master Dancer and Musician Buffs, Double shot 400+ Vasarian Brandy, 40% Synthsteak...and 1 dead TKM. I had 80% Kenetic armor, and they were NOT using stun weapons, but dealing 100+ damage per hit...REALLY fast.
Do I need to find some better Comp armor? Is there a better attack plan? I tried using my state macro and KD2/UH3 But they laid me out...I lasted long enough to get 1 almost down.
I am Master Brawler, Master TK, Pike 2/2/2/3, 2/0/0/0 Medic, 0/0/4/0 Scout (I hunt a LOT for docs/tailors). I should not have had a problem (not that bad at least) with just 3 sentinals.
not really i can fight Nightsister stalker unbuffed easy enough with no medic and some CH , fi you have decent comp armour and good food it easy Sentinals or hard byt not that hard , best thing to do when argoed by 3 is to intemadate them all then to dizzy kd them as if you have 2 on the ground they tent to stay thay a good bit which gives you time to kill the first one and start on the second one , alot of the attacks you use like stun dizzy blind work but or hard to stick , but intemadate is your friend here , food i use is brandy , and atrisha that is all i normal have my mind so buffed it doesnt wast at all as night sister tend to alway hit mind with the force power attacks , but warcry is alos good help as it can stick on the two you dont attack

Well....
After reading your original post, i decided to go see if Nightsisters were any tougher than a month ago.
I was able to handle them fairly easily as long as I kept them intimidated and applied as many states as possible before using the high damage dealing specials. At one time I was fighting 3 sentinels, a Singing mountain Clan Dragoon, and a Spell weaver. They did deal some decent damage ( I love alliteration!) but nothing I couldn't heal
Travon is a TKM/Doc so I kept healing all states and damage.
I did get overwhelmed eventually. I was at the Nightsister vs. Singing Mountain Clan POI and the spawns are much faster now. In the end, two different NS spawned stun batons, I was wearing my kinetic resist armor, and a cloner visit wasn't long after.
