Thread: Your Template Let's Hear it

I'm currently TKM, Doc 4004, Swords 1444 and I PvE exclusively.


That's still a lvl 80 template, so I get full health. Obviously, everybody loves the infusion line from Doc and I like the buff line too. The speed buff is pretty awesome and all the buffs are pretty popular for members of a group. I decided I liked the Power line from Swords the least because of the action cost and the warmup timer, so I did the other three instead.


I'm working on my Katarn Knucklers now, but while unarmed I'm finding action to be the limiting factor. Foods help delay that as the limit, but it still comes. I haven't played much with spices yet, though.


Once I get down to zero action, I can still pretty much alternate Melee Hit with either Improved Head Hit, Advanced Armor Break, or Leg Sweep while speed buffed. I do pretty decent damage now having Armor Break always applied, Leg Sweep once per Armor Break and I get in two shots (one Melee Hit, one Improved Head Hit) while the MOB is down. I got through the 15 spiders part of the Myydril quests the other day in about 45 minutes solo and never really got into trouble with those lvl 79 spiders, 2 or 3 at a time.


I'm thinking about dropping the lone Power box from Swords for the low level Bacta Toss in Medic for when I'm grouping. I found a very nice 110 med level droid with 4.5K health, decent armor, and a ranged attack for pulling. Very handy to have following around in a group or solo for those improved heals.


So strengths are the self-field buffing, great healing, great defense with CoB. Weakness, like just about everything else with TKM, low damage until I get the Katarn Knucklers and limited states. Dizzy never seems to stick and I don't always use it. Intimidate from Pikeman would be nice, as would an area attack, but I don't have the skill points unless I want to give up lvl 80 for myself. I'd never give up TKM, either of my Doc lines, or Advanced Armor Break from Swords now that I've had them.


One thing I like about the new system is you have to choose, you can't have it all.

I was tkm/ms/doc 4000 and I really enjoyed it but it was missing something so I dropped it for tkm/swords 4044/doc 4004 with fs melee speed tree. This template rocks, I've found that it's not the best in pve b/c you don't have area taunt but in pvp it's much much better. You get less from master swordsman, imo, than you do with the doc buff line. Sure a ph is nice but I like the knuckles of katarn much more. I got mine adk'd, sliced, and with a sac reducing pup it's only got 53 sac. It's not as strong but it will hit much faster and more efficiently than any ph.In many duels I've found that I'm pretty much unbeatable except there are plenty of ranged templates that cause draws. Root, then snare, then kd, repeat. They couldn't put a dent in me but I couldn't even get close to them so it's a standstill. The devs made ranged pretty lame and should make root last far less and break on damage. But anyways it's not about that... So yeah, I tried the tri-elite but imo the lack of heals sucks compared to the offense gained. I might try switching out swordsman for fencer since I'ma fencer at heart but atm the only thing they have going for them is bind.

Good defense, good offense..


Bad crowd control, healing isn't very strong either but with such defense, healing doesn't need to be very strong...


It is most satisfying to whack stuff with a power hammer...

What is your template? TKM Master Powers 0000 Jedi Healer 0002 Jedi Enhancer 25 points in Pre Jedi Trash

What do you like about your template? I am a Hybrid, its what I've wanted to be for a realy long time, and Its what I've accomplished.... noone else realy has it, or can expect it, or just say one simple way to beat it


its also easy to scare people

What are it's strengths? I excell in defense if the time is right, and offense on anything that doesnt have defender, plus I can throw lightning bolts


and last time I checked thats realy cool


you'd think a guy that throws lightning bolts out of his hands would get a little respect...

It's weaknesses? pretty much everything that can breath move or swing a dead fish





I win alot, but I chalk it up to being a good player my template is horrible and very fun



Hybrid with tk is bad tk cant do damage


dont let anyone tell you differently I'm there doing it for real



Hybrid is cool tho

TKM/Master Doc, 0040 swords (for armour break) and melee speed 4 in FS


strengths. i can tank extremely well, i can heal and buff. and i can beat just about any melee (and some ranged) out there.


weakness. obviously it's low damage.


i love my template.


oh, and that hybrid one sounds cool.

Master Brawler, Teras Kasi Master, Master Swordsman, 0340 Pikeman and Novice Medic


COB, Flurry, Parry, Warcry, Intimidate nearly no need to heal anymore lol (except against a mls/mdef with adrenal boost plus force speed 2 its getting close)

I'llsay this in short,


Until you get the Katarn knuckler youreally will notsee the full potential of this template....you can have it sliced ortoss a good damage/speed pup on it and let it rip thru anything with the addition of Adrenal Boost...I can't stress the timing of Combinations with this....I have several small macros that work 90% of time because of the difference in attack speed & pause timing in the macros.


Buff lines are great ( plus enhancers ) works wonders for me & any group i'm in....remember its the Speed of Attack with this template ( Katarn ) and you will see the difference if you know how to use the combos...lets put it this way - on group hunts I have Jedi players staying close to me because of this.


I was a former TKM, Masterpikeman, Doctor 4000 - Very good tanking template - yet still lacks POWER - plus you end up playing a Pikeman then TKM.

TKM, Master Enhancer, Healer 4 x x x


Strengths: Can tank almost anything. Katarn knucklers are sorta nice (what do you mean there's new slicing? is it good? what's bio-link mean? DOH) Stasis'ing ranged rooters is fun. Stasis'ing and force meditating for 20 seconds is even more fun. Good in group pvp, can soak up a lot of damage, all state resists and recovers. Self rez for 1000 FC, retaining all buffs.


Weaknesses: Damage output, not as much force as a full template jedi, occasionally forget to turn off force run

TKM/ MF/ Doc 4000


I have some force sensitive going on, so when I drop master fencer ill have to do some reorganizing.


This template rocks in PVP and PVE (against non-Jedis)


I have only lost to CM/BH once. I blame that on the lag, heh. Against ranged, I typically stalemate if they have too much room to move, but when I get close and can slow them, then knock em down, about half their life goes down.


Damage is low in PVE due to this being a tank class,,, but I can and have tanked 10 pickets successfully.


Oh, and with the help of another healer, I have tanked Necrosis

What is your template? TKM / MS / 4xxx Doc / FS Melee Speed tree


What do you like about your template? It's a blast in PvP, Makes for a great tank, and lets me solo 80+'s like nothing else


What are it's strengths? All the defensive benefits of a TKM, with the hard hitting specials of a Swordsman (armor break is a must ). With the healing tree of Doc it allows me to tank several 80+'s at once. Also allows for good soloing and its pretty fun in PvP (I can hold my own against most Jedi and ranged Prof's can't keep up with my healing)

It's weaknesses? Burns through action (unless I have food, buffs, or spice). Once my mind is gone it's end game. Lower damage output as a TKM (but those Katarn Knucklers sure do help :smileywink.
