my current template TKA Mpike Doc 4000, i love it but i does not do enough dam

If you want to win against jedi or others go tka mcm no question.

normally i'd whine and say "this belongs in the sticky thread of the same subject". But I want to comment on that last template.


Looks like an awesome template for RP. TKM and M. Ranger. Reminds me of David Carradine in Kung Fu. Heh.

tkm / mcm / 4.0.0.0 commando

strengths: great defenses. healing. debuffs. paralyze can be a life saver. dots. ranged area kd (imp detonator). 2nd flame dot (thermal det.). other ranged effects from other grenades whos names i dont remember (blind/stun/dizzy). . some marksman abilities for use when necessary.

weaknesses: very little damage output. lack of melee specials. lack of melee accuracy.

why i like it: it's fairly unique, altho i hear more and more people deciding to pick it up. but when i decided to do it people thought i was insane. "why commando?? huh!?" "youre planning on using a grenade in pvp WHY!?" lol it's fun, it's great for tanking, the heals are good. slowing down teh action and mind regen of a doc in a one on one fight can make you the winner by simply outlasting them. can be self sufficient, and even better for group play. bacta spray is the best "taunt" ever. i can tank better than most doc tk sword combos i know, and i think i have more fun. i tried that style too and it just wasnt for me. throwing things ftw!!!!

Pure melee template. Sure I can't heal for crap, but my defenses are great, I have lots of state debuffs, and damage output is good as well. It's fairly gimped in PvP vs. good healing templates, but I don't care. I like it. Pure melee is a dying breed.

Teras Kasi Master / Master Swordsman / Doctor 4/0/0/0


I love the ability to simultaneously taunt and tank full spawns of CL 82 mobs, crit on them for between 1650 and 1800 health, and keep myself and most of the rest of the hunting party standing under mostcircumstances.


Strengths are great damage mitigation, great damage dealing, great healing


Weaknesses would be never enough Action ponts, no AoE attacks, and the general ineffectiveness and longer refresh timerof single target taunt.

tkm/msword/4xxx doc (goin to change sword to fencer probly)

its melee and i have fun with it

great defences and great damage (4 ppl to take me down is all to sweet)

only weakness is when i get 3 or 4 jedi on me spammin power attack and deverish

I'm just curious... I recently started working on TK and Smuggler. Smuggler seemed interesting and I figured its Unarmed stats would give a bonus to TK. Has anybody tried TK/Smug and if so is it worthwhile?

MPikes, TKM, MBrawler, fencer 0/0/0/4, swords 0/0/4/0 and combat prowess 0/0/0/4


I love using pikes and having that inate TK armor is nice plus improved COB.


Pike weapons are nice and not having the need to wear armor is cool too.


Not having doc like so many others is a slight downfall but with the right foods and strategy I can hold my own in duels.

Changed from MTK/MSW/4.0.0.0 Doc. (Which is also a fantastic template).

I found the second template better in groups with ranged support. Tank/Res/Heal/Buff/Good Armor Break,and with speed buff I do decent and consistant dmg with well sliced Katarn. By switching I lost high dmg burst attacks with PH.
