Well...... Slicing can not bring the weapon past the hard cap set for each weapon i.e. a vk cannot have more than 400 max dmg and go lower than 1.5 for speed (just an example I don't remember what it really is for a vk). On that post, however, it does not have the hard cap for any of the new Kashyyyk quest weapons so that means that they either don't have a hard cap or it's not known (and I'm guessing it's the latter). Has anyone gotten their knuckles of the katarn sliced post pub 19? Just wondering because if I go out looting all the stuff required for slicing damage and it turns out we're capped after the base slice then that would be a huge waste of time.

There are caps on weapons speed and damage but we have no idea what they are until we ruin a weapon with a slice that wont work?!?! Is that right?

I've been waiting for ages for this!!! I could have waited longer and had it done cheaper, but I just dished out 200K to have it done. Couldn't wait any longer. lvl 3 damage slice, lvl 1 speed, and lvl 1 crit hit bring my knucklers to attack speed 1.96, modified speed 1.23, damage 386-772, elemental damage 120, wound 2.7%, estimated base DPS 356.63, and for the grand finally a modified DPS of 569.94!!! Wicked. Gonna ADK it and cherish it forever...

ill post the full stats tonight, i managed to loot a illigal core booster from a space mission from Kash ( a delivery mission from rodian hunting ground that ill repeat tonight for more info) This core was used in the Damage Slice.

Prof is master tka and pike,fencer 0204, fs combat 0004, Goal Fencer 0404 fs combat 0044. Clothing: Melee Damage bio 16 unarmed damage.

12% Speed Slice

Speed: 1.76, My Mod Speed: 1.03, Dam: 358-715, Est dps min 372.73, My dps 633.38

Speed 2%, Damage , Crit Hit 3%

Speed: 1.96, My Mod Speed: 1.14, Dam: 386-772, Est dps min: 356.63, My DPS 618.81

Question is, which one is best?

updated the info, yes the triggers are used for the other stages in slicing for speed i think, the core is for damage, forgot to mention the 16 unarmed melee damage clothing i had

Was wondering which is the best knuckler, the speed one or the damage one, ?

i did a full 12% (max customise 100%) speed slice on one Knuckler (more data to follow) my max dps was 638

and a Damage, Crit Hit 3% and Speed on my other one

I'm a little confused. To do a max speed slice, I thought you needed a delicate trigger not a illegal damage core. And, is there still a speed cap for TKM? There was pre-CUrb, I'm not sure if there still is. If so, would this make the modified DPS a little misleading? Wow, though! I like that 638 dps! I hope I didn't do the wrong thing by attaching my ADK to the 1 I sliced... to late now...

Your numbers are incorrect for a 12% speed slice it's 100% customization.

Illegal Core Boosters are rare.

So have any of you guys compared which is the better slice to go? The one with the 100% speed or the max damage/1 speed/1 critical?

Just got my Katarns today and was hoping to get some more info before slicing them. I'm looking to add more damage but I'm a little confused cause I read that going for speed gives a higher DPS.

Proven to be not working, and even if those ever work, unarmed damage mods nowadays do not apply when fighting with a knuckler.
