Thread: Teras Kasi v Jedi
I believe theword from the devs is that the story about TKAs being created to control the jedi is fan fiction. It's a great, creative back story, but it's not cannon, not sanctioned by Lucas, and will not be used as a basis for in-game content.
Unless I'm reading this wrong, the quote posted in the Tka FAQ from the Star Wars Encyclopedia does show a connection between the Jedi and TKA. It also states the TKa is both "A martial arts and an order". Here's the quote as it is listed in the FAQ:
Both a martial art and an Order. The Teräs Käsi were formed from the remnant civilians of a long-ago battle which devestated their home world of Palawa, a war which involved the awsome powers of the Jedi Council. The few survivors of Palawa migrated to a nearby world called Bunduki, where they decided to master mind over body so they may keep the Jedi use of power in check. The Teräs Käsi are thought to be sensitive to changes in the Force, and Teräs Käsi Masters are feared by the Jedi. But Teräs Käsi are not generally Force users as Jedi are: Teräs Käsi draw internal, personal power, while Jedi draw from everything around them

TKA's have come a long way since the beginning days, but that doesn't mean we should be able to take out Jedi. I'd be lying to myself if I said being a TKM is superior to a Padawan.
However, what I could see happening is that since TKA's are supposed to be the police of Jedi, that we could get an ability similar to the Ranger's /areatrack that only worked for Dark Jedi. Living the life of a Dark Jedi is supposed to be perilous, right? It is when there are bounty hunters and TKM's running at you ![]()
I believe TKs are just what the FAQ suggests, that TKs dabble with the "understanding of one self through the force" internaly
and jedi's are the exact oposite.
Im sure there was some diferance amoung some of the first force users, should it be used in the way it was used. Some people quickly split and their were dark and light jedi, but then the tK the third factor, the ability to understand the force is all we are supposed to do, and not use it farther would be really the phylosophy i would think.
I do not think TK or any TK order would hunt down a jedi for being a jedi, but perhaps if they misuse their powers, they would
or perhaps could is a better word. elimite them if needed.
in terms of power, potential power will go to the jedi, they are far more powerfull in potential light....but i consider most TKs to be far more wise then jedi, and little more tricks up their sleeves.
ofcourse that excludes some jedi and masters like yoda, or even palpatine. Tk if anythingis one rich and interesting profession.
lol i don't know why losers like you want to attack jedi.
1. it clearly isn't your place.
2. you will get owned.
3. It isn't your "right" as a tka to attack jedi.
4. you wish you were jedi and are frustrated you can't vent your anger in a hopeless attempt to kill one.
5. i'm cool
Just for reference, Maul was a practitioner of Teras Kasi.
Shadow Hunter - pg.11
"He came up twirling his lightsaber overhead, then stepped down solidly into the Teras Kasi wide stance called Riding Bantha."
Just a heads up ![]()

I know its pretty gay
They should get state defense, all they get is some sort of toughness.
Me and a group ran into a jedi in fort tusken and were asking a bunch of questions.
One of the many new novice tka wanted to duel him. He kd, then dizzy the jedi and he was down for about 15 seconds while he wailed on him with unarmed2.
Then I challenged him but since I preferstraight fighting I didn't kd him and just used unarmedhit3.
Jedi are tough, he wasa very very weak jedi. Even at that he didn't heal from both duels and was barely, barely hurt.
It's pretty stupid that they get no state defense. He told me that this was his third time to make a jedi and that both times he died it was fromm poison. Rancor poison and merek poison.
