heh being able to block lightsabers would be very cool but the jedi would cry nerf right away. seems like the only people who actually get what they want are the existing jedi.

Give master brawler ranged mitigation 1 (master marsman melee mitigation 1). Make master brawler a requirment (this makes TK better anyhow) and make bare hands AP1, VK AP2. TK's can hit the weakest links in armor, this is my thinking anyhow. this will effectively increase our damage output do to the bonus at master brawler and the increased AP rating bonus against armor. Bring in another damage type (like cold or heat) so that we can be more effective in PVE. The justification for the AP bonus is taken from the increased skill points needed to master.


For those that hate these dreamer idea threads, go read someone elses then and don't troll. This is just a nice place to put ideas, good or bad.


But, regardless, this is all for nought, combat re-vamp will re-calculate everything and will change this discussion a lot probably so I don't think to much anymore about such things.

I think you should use more '!' in your posts from now on.
I only counted ~29 and that is way to few. Seriously if you
are going to create posts that people will understand and know
just how strongly you believe in something you need to
have to at leat 50 '!' at a minimum. Please try harder next
time this is just not acceptable.

IMHO we are balanced...compared to the other professions in the sence most of our specials work...we are good in PvE...decent in PvP depending upon if you know how to use your character or not...But what I think my fellow Teras Kasi Monks want want is more content...not saying we should be more powerful but compared to swordsmen,fencers,pikers...we are a more spiritual melee class...we are similar to jedi in the sense we both have the force...the difference is our force is from within and jedi force comes from everything around them...if we have the force within why is it we have low defenses...why is it theres no story behind how we obtained the force within...why is it we have no TKA specific quests...I mean smugglers are getting theyre own missions I hear...TKA defenitly need them...also TKM is soo easy to get, once you hit novice TKA its gravy and one could grind this within 24hours. We would like TKM harder to achieve to prevent FOTM dabblers (whom we dispise) from being at the same level as us and to prevent us from dabbling in other professions like fencer for example..so that we have defenses and can compete in PvP. The path to TKM should be as follows:


Complete:

Unarmed I-IV

Teras Kasi Novice-Teras kasi Artist should be in one skilltree, if youre really into the TKA profession you advance to the next skill tree.

Teras kasi Artist-Teras Kasi master should be the final tree we have and should take a while to obtain...atleast 2weeks of hard grinding...I mean hard grinding...6-7hours a day atleast.


No disrespect, but whats the history a depth behind a fencer compared to a TKA...if we are "labeled" the jedi watchers...why is it we know nothing on how this came to be except speculation and stories of hear-say...we need mroe content...how bout some type of robes..I think it's wrong for TKAs to be wearing armor but unfortunatly we must to survive....how about some sort of Gi or something similar that offers some protection so that we do not have to wear armor...I mean if you ever watch a martial arts tournament on TV or live they do not wear armor...they are tough as nails..some more tougher than others...obviously those are the ones more advanced and more serious about their Martial Arts though...


As I stated above...make the road to TKM a much longer and harder road...the further you are up the tree the tougher, stronger, faster, accurate, and more usful your meditation will be.


Also another note...I think I can safely say we as TKAs do not appreaciate the dabblers going tk just to use meditation and nothing else...this needs to be prevented from us as it takes away an ability earned by someone who has mastered the profession compared to some FOTM rifleman/cm wanting to meditate off his wounds or disease..

They become Teras Kasi Artists and then to become master must go up an entirely new tree..I dont think many will mind if they are true to the profession and honestly want to make TKM harder to achieve....the dabblers will get stuck w/ TKA...which sint bad but TKM will be much more effective and pwoerful in combat as well as theyre meditation techniques...if this change occurs then meditation in the TKA tree should only be able to stop bleading. TKMs should be able to heal poison/disease/wounds..
