Well your Rebel Lance Corporal rank implies some military training in there, so I can't see TK/Commando destroy any rp. Or did you become Lance Corporal some other way than through the Armed Forces of the Rebel Alliance?

I'm seeing a few friends go for Fencer due its defensive abilities.

I think thats a better combination for PvP, but I still think Doctor for the buffs would be better against creatures (i.e. in PvP you can get a quick buff from a doc/powerboost, but out in the field if it wears off then you want to rebuff yourself or your group). Doc also seems more group friendly since you can heal/revive.

So I guess it depends on what aspect of the game you get involved in most.

I agree with McFlyGuy...Im currently workin on Doctor..if you dont like crafting..you can always just go Doctor: 0-4-4-0..that way u can buff with out crafting u will have to buy the stims...im currently :
TKM
Doctor: 0-1-2-0
Scout: 3-0-0-0
Noivce Pistoleer

but yea..I never use my pistol...and with Vehicles coming out..I wont need scout.
Master Doctor is the way to go bro..plus your friends will love u since u will beable to buff them...plus make some money on the side selling buffs for about 6k.

Master Brawler/TK/Swordsman is definently a nice way to go. Doc is ok, but really.. it's not THAT hard to find buffs anymore, and they usually come pretty cheap. With MBrawler,a pet is really overkill. I don't think you'll ever really needone.Warcry2 is just that good.

Plus, as you said, it makes a lot of sense in an RP way for your character as well. Which is just as important as how strong the character is.. best of both worlds in this case .

If you get bored with constant fighting perhaps another combat profession isn't for you.

I suggest scout/ranger. It's the only profession (apart from TKA) I've found that truly does not feel like a "grind". Leveling up scout and ranger really does come as a simple by product of playing.

Sure you can grind it but you don't have too.

The only thing you have to look out for is wilderness xp. If you like to group then great otherwise you may have to do a little grinding to build that up.

Again if you group wilderness xp is no problem.

Avoid pets. You don't need them as TKA and CH's are a dime a dozen.

My basic philosophy is I don't want to do something that I can already buy. Getting Master doctor just so I can buff myself doesn't make sense. Why spend 140 precious skill points just to get the ability to do something I can just pay a few thousand credits for each play session? As a high level combatant 1 round of destroy missions on dant will cover the costs of any doc's buffs and travel expenses to and from dant.

I considered armorsmith so I could make myself armor but good armor lasts long enough for you to easily replace it. Also you don't have to replace an entire suit just pieces. My composite bracers will last much longer than my composite chest plate. So I saved myself another 92 skill points.

So since I want skills that money simply can't buy that basically leaves another combatprofession, creature handler and ranger.

Ranger is the one profession that simply doesn't feel like a grind. I got up to tracking IV just casually playing on dantooine. This along with TKA doesn't feel like a grind. I'd be playing just having fun and then I would be like "oh coolI qualify for a new skill. . . hadn't even noticed because I was too busy having fun"

That's the way I feel.

PLUS you can make very good money harvesting organics. If you still don't want to grind (survival xp) then try this setup.

Master TKA Master scout, 4-0-4-0 ranger, 4-0-4-0 medic with 4 skill points left over. The little to no grind template.

The only thing is survival from the scout tree but if you are smart (and you just have to resort to grinding) you can grind that entire discipline out in 2 hours - 3 hours.

Another great combo is MTK and Master Rifleman. You can shoot a target from the distance with massive bleeds or a lot of dmg and when it runs towards you just switch unarmed and then kill it. You can also powerboost for rifleman so you can get a mind buff.

In this way you are very powerfull in PVE an PVP.

I've tried a few.. they're all fun and you can't go wrong with any of them. A few things to think about (some of these points may have been touched on above, sorry):

With TKM/MCH you have nothing but AP0/1 kinetic melee damage and maybe some minor poison/disease. This can be very limiting against certain opponents. It's still not clear how much affect the looming CH changes will have.

With TKM/MSmuggler you MUST have quite a bit of pistoleer in order to be effective in combat with a pistol. This means you need to either give up scout or medic or even both. This is a very powerful build in PvP and it's easy to make quite a few credits when you don't feel like combat. Start working on your faction rank now.

With TKM/MDoctor you have very few skill points remaining - I use mine for novice scout + explore1. You can spend a fortune on the resources to make decent meds or the harvesters to gather them. If you don't like crafting, the cost of buying meds is very prohibitive.

TKM/Rifle is next on my list for when I get bored with doctor :-)
