TKA were never meant to excel at pvp no matter what people or the game book says. You cant go into a battlefield expecting you will come out alive. Any master ranged fighter classshould own any melee fighter class except jedis. If they dont its because they dont know how to and its not becuase you are a bad ass TKM. We are meant to be bad ass for pve and close quarter combat, period. Now of course you can go into battle and kill a few before getting killed and probably even survive...I have, but those were lousy ranged fighters who couldnt kill a bug. If you really want to have a chance in pvp you should consider choosing ranged skills as well to complement your fighting skills, but if you guys think that just because you are a master tera kasi that you should be owning in PVP, you are fooling yourselves. Stop whinning about getting kited and how we need to close the gap between enemies with this skill or the other. If the devs change it so that we could, then no ranged class would have a chance against us and that would really unbalanced the pvp aspects of the game. As a TKA you should use your skills wisely and see which fights you can win and which fights you cant. Fights you can win are those you can take an enemy with surprise....kill and run. Not stay and try to kill everybody because you are no Jedi. Yes Im a tera kasi artist and with all the nerfs going on right now I still keep playing as a tera kasi, yes I dont like some of the changes...but why whine about it? I whine, kick and spit about bugs but not to changes that dev make in order to please the always unsatisfied costumers even if the changes are plain stupid or great...Play the game, try to have fun and if you dont have fun, quit the game for good or come back when you think they have fixed things.,..and you know what...they will never

regarding the two comments i highlighted

as pvp is the only endgame, i refuse to accept that as a TKM i havenothingto do but sit around the cantina

No way they need to change something about this PVP thing. I am sick of some coward with a gun sitting out of range and running away making my moves useless. Its a bunch of bull crud.First of all they should lose a ton of accuracy for running away from there taget to even things out.We should get some kind of throwing weapon to also try to even things out.Cause right now those pansies own us and its NOT I reapeat NOT FAIR AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey lobai...nice posts

I am here to back up lobai's statements, becuase i was with him.

I ran around with my VK and my gurreck. This was my first raid on theed, so my kill count was not as high. However, i must have killed the same 4 people about 3 times each before i went down.

the combination of a Teras Kasi Master, Creature Handler Master and Novice Medic made an excellent PvP player. Not the best, but if you know what your doing, you will be very powerful.

ill see ya on later lo

How many times are you going to repost this?

Just because you don't like the response you get, or the rate you get doesn't mean you to spam the boards with the same subject over and over and over again - that's abuse of the forums.

so you just use your revenge TEF to kill them all?

"Yeah, dont you know? when you die your body emits a powerful form of radiation that penetrates all containers and crates, and pretty much anything and everything on you.

But have no fear! If you insure you get radiation protection on your items. The problem with that tho is that it only protects 99% of your items integrity."

TKA/Rifleman here.

Sure the changes have crippled some of our abilities, but they cannot cripple one thing.

Your ability to create unique tactics that work, and work well.

Myself personally i find that Dizzy/Lunge is very effective in PvP.

As well as a heaping helping of intimidate and and warcry.

My favorite tactic is to run up on somone open with dizzy, Lunge them, they fall down i run back jump on my tummy and nail them with a mind bleed from hell with my T21 and just lay there and ping them to death.

Its great fun, and this is effective against multiple opponents. Dizzy/ Lunge (tab) Dizzy/ Lunge (tab) Dizzy/ Lunge , Burst run, Cover, Mind bleed (tab) Mind bleed (tab) Mind bleed. Then just wait for them to die take pot shots at them one at a time just for good measure.

Shrug maybe its just me but finding ways to do the impossible is fun to me. I don't know about you.

"Who cares if your KD wears off after 5 seconds and it's another 30 before you can use it on THAT person again, once their down and you put a 2 Unarmedhits on them, they're _done_. If they're not, you're either not wearing a good knuckler, or not one at all, or you're not doing something right, butI can regularly top 1k damage in PvP on a prone or KD'd enemy. That's enough to kill most anyone after the damage (increased after patch) that KD causes too."

1. http://www.subliminate.com/galaxies/screenShot0039.jpg- Now imagine these stats on a ranged user. You knock them down, they get up and run and kite you. You lunge to slow them, but you can't use knockdown because the timer is already working. They get up from lunge and keep running and shooting. You can't stop them.

Damage has never, ever been an issue. It's the fact that we have to apply this damage to a stationary target. We cannot strike whilst we are moving. The fact that we cannot slow them down or give ourselves a fighting chance is the result of the 30 second timer. Lunge is the only move that we have to slow someone down or at least get ourselves within range.

To be honest even without the buffed stats above, the damage you are relating to above seems to me to be applied to a rifle user wearing no armour. i.e. x2.5 damage or x3 whilst prone. Try this on someone without a rifle who is wearing armour such as composite or even faction armour and you're going to have troubles when they get up and start running and shooting.

"This isn't bragging, because Im not special. What I do is something that not only anyone can do, but I'm sure others are better than I am here. After the first death when I had a revenge TEF, I walked up all casual-like to 3 well-armored PC's with their 2 pets and got close enough and prepared myself...said hello...and _boom_.

15 seconds later, 3 PC's were all dead where they stood and I was working on the 2nd pet. I got 3 wow!'s from standers-by and a tell from one of the PC's that simply stated: "Who are you?!"

Abusing the Tef flag says it all. You used it to get close to 3 people who couldn't stop you from walking straight up to them and knocking them all down. Without the Tef flag, they would have seen you from 70m away and your chances would have been slim to none.

"Listen, you can assign hotkeys, make macros, put your most used attack close at hand and then practice on NPC's or in PvP until they're instinct...but you CAN not only be competitive, you can conquor them. You can do SICK damage as you should. They're in your death range...5m is as good as dead...live upto your title and play like a Teras Kasi, play smart."

Again I say damage isn't the problem. It's the getting close part that is.
