I stand humbly corrected... when i stated "now if only our defenses would work" i was referring to our "defense acuity" and not any of our other defenses. Please pardon me in not stating that fact as it should have been....../bow

Antares is correct on defenses, now if they only worked, we would see what a TK truly is supposed to be like.

TKA defenses do work. Sure, it's questionable whether defensive acuity works, but TKA is nearly as defensively capable as fencer right now, even with def. acuity not working properly. TKA toughness (best in melee), melee defenses and ranged defenses (both 2nd best of all melee) all work just fine. TKA does not need more defense at all.

I think fist should naturally do stun damage, this would give us an option to fighting with knucks all the time. It seems logical to me when you think about it, since normally punching someone would tend to stun rather than do harmful physical damage, though certainly a well trained martial artist could punch you to death.

Otherwise, I like the profession general as it stands, though it would be nice to see a little more help against kiting, and the combos should be replaced with something useful. I saw it suggested that pistoleers may have their speed cap lowered to .5 sec instead of 1.0. If this is going to happen, and we are left at 1.0 for our cap, then something is seriously wrong here, we should be as fast as any other class if not faster in our attacks, this is our strength.

Atone, I totally agree with you. Guns are for pussiez. Yet, I find it hard to believe that a tka in real life would stand any chance against a lazer....kiting fools all over the place......Who the heck would stand toe to toe with a master of any art if they had a gun in their pocket.......I have practiced judo and karate and wouldn't wanna mess with any masters......

This is from A GUIDE TO THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE third edition from BILL SLAVICSEK........I dont know exactly who Palawa is, maybe he is a jedi. ....anyways...........

"Teras Kasi: The Bunduki martial arts discipline known as teras kasi, or STEEL HANDS, is the art of combat without weapons. It is taught by the Followers of Palawa on Bunduki, a world in the Pacanth Reach."

note: it does not say The Jedi martial arts discipline known as..............

On wizards of the coast, i find this really cool, it said this.....

Now wouldnt that be awsome? A restrait move for tka's where we could hold a jedi's light saber from attacking us or a group......make it so we could only restrain jedi????? Our game needs to expand on "steel hands"......Anyone that plays star wars rpg have a hand book that goes into tka? I'm sure their is probably more info on our class there....If you search starwars.com nothing comes up for tka.....

So, here was my proof, nothing here tell me that tka was created by the jedi. IT WAS STUDIED BY SOME JEDI, but was not required in their training or anything like that...I cannot find the information on how the tka was formed and my friend, naug-first tka on my server, has left the game so I'm not sure where he found that information. If you have something that says, "tka was a art created and practiced by the ancient jedi to battle the sith", then please go ahead and post it. I don't claim to be a sw expert or anyting, but the story you tell was someones fanasty. If you can prove me wrong i'll eat my crow and will put in my sin. that you are the master and i'm the fool. You keep talking and telling people to look at wizards of the coast, but I couldnt find anything their that proved me wrong. I don't really think that the dev's are complete fools and would put a jedi class in the game for anyone to choose. We arn't sapposed to be above all others in this game and I very much enjoy the role we have now. The information is here, take what you will my friends, enjoy this for what it is: a G-A-M-E.

Personally, i wish TKA's had a bleed attack, but i know, it wont happen.

Also, i have noticed, i never use the individual "pool" attacks like head,leg and body hit 1. I found that when i use them thier ham costs are too high than thier damage done.

I don't use spin attacks for the same reason, they just don't seem to do enough damage to fight anyone but 1-2k weaklings, based on thier ham costs.

Overall, personally i think TKA's are very blanaced right now and these are just some personal things, i WISH would happen -_-.

have u played jedi knight jedi academy? thouse things that punch u beat it out of u like 3 hits and your out well hit him one and hes out but still 3 hits at a rank 3 jedi in basic skills

The Teras Kasi is the best Martial-Art there is and it does use the Force to an extent as the Force surrounds and embodies everything, and it is used by Jrdi to intsead u guys just said i was full of BS which i proved u guys wrong.

Nope, you didn't back up anything. You just did the normal crying of a 12 year old. Calling everyone on here idiots when you don't know what your talking about. And no, you were wrong, it is not a Jedi Martial Art as you keep calling it. TKA's don't draw on the force, they draw on inner strength and meditation like most martial arts. If tka's used the force you know what they would be called? JEDI! THEY ARE NOT JEDI! With training anyone could become a tka, just like in the game. Here ya go man......./hint sage1
