They also need to fix weapon decay.
Or I'm gone on the 20th.
I need to see its been fixed in patch notes and see its been fixed in game.
Also the mission payouts need to be restored.
That's it. You want my $15 a month fix it the way it was.
I'd say I'd quit unless Holo left, but I'm trying to be somewhat realistic. I'll settle for him going back on Vacation, or wherever Cinco went.
You're kidding right. In order to keep this **edit** database from dying completely the instituted that housing nerf. Then they give you back some of its and you run around like a dog wagging your tail. Laughable.
Hey Holo. If this is about knockdown. If that's all you can add to this many people cancelling and threatening to cancel then why even bother to post?
Doesn't Q's dogma or manifesto state to ignore contriversy. Or is that yours? I get you both mixed up. Easy to do.
Its always next week, next patch. If you'd really think about these things or heck even ask peoples opinions first, then you wouldn't have all this damage control.
But of course you don't ask, because nobody wants these changes. You're the only one who wants these changes.
While I've got your attention:
Let me show you something.
On a keyboard it goes like this:
1234567890
Ok. And with the shift key:
!@#$%^&*()
Ok. Now 0 and 7 are no where close. And 5 would be the obvious typo for the %.
How you can say 70% was a typo is beyond me.
789
456
123
0
Now thats the numberpad. Again, 70% and 7% are impossible.
You didn't mean transposing numbers, but its not a typo. A typographical error of that sort is impossible unless you are making up a number. Pulling it from thin air. Thinking 70%...
Seems to me you made up the 70% and when you got called on it, you had to think up an excuse.
You forget quite a few players here have college educations, and some degrees in economics. You're tactics might work with fanbois and middle school students, but not with some of the customers.
You sell your customer base short when you assume you can just come up with something like that and it'll sneak by.
Why not Imperial confiscation ingame of peoples credits to finance the war effort. And items. Then your database problem is solved.
I still haven't seen any good response to all of this, has anyone seen anything in a new thread? Was too busy today at work to waste time reading around to see if anyone posted anything significant on the issue. I would like to state that in my opinion I don't have a problem with them nerfing knockdown, if increased ham cost is the way they would like to go about doing this, I don't really have a problem with that either. What I do have a problem with is if they nerf it in a fashion that make a VK equipped TKA's knockdown more expensive than that of a pistol wielder, BH, carbineer, or pikeman.
Pikeman and TKA should have the most efficient knockdown, the superior damage of the 2h pike should be reflected in a slightly more expensive knockdown to balance out the damage. Where as the TKA's would cost a little bit less HAM wise but be les damage. The pistol users should fall in after these as they also have to be in melee range. Next should be the bounty hunter with their ranged version, and lastly the AE carbine version should be the most expensive.
3 times the cost of the next highest HAM cost knockdown for someone who has to be in melee range, and needs to be able to take a hit if it misses, is a bit ridiculous in my book. In fact, all moves with a VK should be balanced with the cost of pistol moves. In my opinion, any move that can be done at range is far superior to anything done in melee, especially considering a pistol user still attacks at roughly the same speed if not faster than a VK wielding TKA. They don't need the added advantage of way the hell lower HAM costs. Hell just pick up any pistol, for the same damage output as a VK they have 1/3 the HAM special costs.
Just my 2 cents.

From the pikeman board:
"I was hitting
elven of these baz nitches and sending them flying away at once. "
"Let me know what you think, course I can already here the 11 mobs knocked
at once with 100 ham cost "NERF" so shhh dont let the other professions know
but if you go through the "fun" of getting the speed , support , and defensive
lines I think we deserve a little fun once in a while. "

It's a pikeman named machus0 bragging how he knocked down 11 baz nitches at once with his area knockdown for 100 ham. Other posts indicate their ham cost was not increased on patch day at all.
*cough* *cough*
More from the pikeman board re" ham costs after patch:
"anyone else notice that they hit a target much harder on the first attack after a successcull sweep? i kept doing sweep followed up by a polearmhit2 and hit several times at 1700-1800 when the target was down. also i do notice a little bit of a speed boost with my VL and the ham cost on my sweep has definelty gone down. i swear that sweep used to cost 170-180 ham and now its down to 112. i cant remember what hit2 usedbefore the patchbut it uses 135 as of last night so it actualy costs more than sweep now. "
"After playing some more, I think the changes are all good. I just seem to be a LOT more effective in combat now. The pack mobs can be a real problem, but if you're careful it can all still be done (it helps to have traps too). "

Yep, there's a reason it's so quiet over in pikeman's land.
--why is this the case? I realize you are in the process of hiring a full-time community person, but even then is it really feasible or desirable to have a single point of contact given the scope of the game and these boards? What's wrong with allowing designers to post from time to time on the issues they are most familiar with? Having you as the go-between is incredibly inefficient. Correspondents may be great (eventually) for professions, but a lot of these issues are cross-profession or system based (such as the house issues, mission bugs, etc.)

Part of what bugs me is thatKnockdown seems to pull more from Action than the other pools. Granted, my Quickness and Stamina are my lowest stats (though they are racially maxxed) but seriously the Brawler line should pull from Health more than anything. If you look at the stat bars upon creation, Health is HUGE compared to the other pools, yet our moves seem to tear up our other HAM bars as much as Health if not more.
Unarmed Knockdown should be the least expensive of all the Knockdowns imho. It should be the starting point to which all other knockdowns are balanced.
-Creatures and NPC get up immediately after getting hit again with knockdown totally defeating the damage bonus you should get on a knocked down opponent4
-NPC's will frequently fall down and actually STAY down around 20 seconds after Knockdown is applied, until dizzy wears off. This does not happen with creatures, so creature hunting just took a HUGE downfall. This is the only time Knockdown actually works extremely well.
Honestly I would have rather seen all knockdowns go the way of lunge. Make KD1 do only 1 dmg point but leave the HAM reduce the HAM cost to about 100 tops. Make KD2 do 1 dmg point but work more often than KD1 and cost maybe 120 tops.
It would also be nice to know exactly what our role is supposed to be. It would also be great to know what sort of difficulty rating you have on most of the planets. Are we all just delusional in thinking we should have been able to solo on places like Dathomir and Dantooine? Did blatant imbalances just give all of us a skewed perception?
