Something to remember is that Melee (& Ranged Deffense) is capped at +125 & can only be taken over that by foods.


Perosnly I'd Recomend this:


TKM
Fencer 3-4-4-0
Pistoleer 0-0-4-0
Master Brawler
Novice Medic


This gives you:
+121 Melee Deffense (easily caped with a +4 tape if you can get your hands on one)
+106 Ranged Deffense
Lots of high State Deffenses

It also gives you some nice brawler specials which would come in usfull as you would be fighting melee mush of the time with this template. You would have intimidate2 as well as a 20m KD. & of course you have Novice Medic so you can heal your self.


I'm not great with deffensive templates but this seems to be a generaly effective one. I'm sure Atama or one of the others who stack a bit will improve it if possible. I'm pretty sure the same template has been said earlier in this thread.

For a PvP and PvE template I was thinking
TKM
MSwords
MBrawler
Fencer 0/4/0/0
Medic 2/0/0/0
Combat Prowess 0/0/3/4

TKM As an attack and tank for PvE and PvP
MSwords For PvE damage
MBrawler For Intim.2 Warcry2 and lunge2
Fencer For defense vs Post. Change (Down) and Def vs KD
Medic For Stim. Bs and to heal bleeds
Combat Powess for Speed and Accuarcy bonuses

The speed and accuracy bonuses would definitely help with swords as things stand, and overall it looks like a very nice template. You could drop Medic down one and finish out the other Combat Prowess tree though, unless you just really want 2-0-0-0.

I have decided to dust off my VK's and pick TKM up again. I have devised 2 templates but having trouble deciding which to pick.


Template 1:

Master Pistoleer

TKM

Smugler 0040

Fencer 0240


This will cap all state defenses except (which cap at 90 if I understood right, always a 10% chance a state will hit you)for Dizzy (just 5 away from cap) and stun (will be at 55). Melee Defense is capped as well as Dodge. Ranged def will be 67. It also gives me Ranged and Melee Mitigation 3. The only downfall is not being able to heal damage without medic but I have FD if I get in trouble. I also have low blow so if I am using TK and being Kited, I can Kd them from 60m away.



Template 2:

Master Pistoleer

TKM

0030 Smuggler

Medic 3440


Pretty much the same as the first except I swithed Fencer for Medic. The only thing I lose in doing so is 15 melee defense (which can be made up with be clothes) a little dodge but still at 105 from Pistoleer, and state defenses. Ranged def will be 52 so not a big drop there. The state defense all drop to around 50 (except for def vs. kd which wil be at 70). I gain the abilty to be able to heal almost all damage with one stim but still have FD if I am getting Mind hit bad.



Need some opions on which you think would be better. I just can't decide.

Personally, of the two, I would go with the TKM, Pistoleer, Smuggler, Fencer template, mainly because healing isn't that high of a priority in most fights that you will encounter (and in high-end PvE you should have a Doc or at least a Medic there with you anyway). You could always drop Medic down to Novice, retaining the ability to use Stim B's, and invest all the other points elsewhere to increase defences also.

Heres my template.

TKA master

fencer 4/4/0/0

-----and either smuggler 0030 or finish third tree in fencer.

Whats better for pvp, any good at pvp?

If i can get my hands on a de-10, ill use that for pistoleer and maybe use smugglers kd.

Ello people.


Sorry to disturb u like this but im a FS tka, i have xp to take 0044 on combat prowess and unlocks but.....


I dont want to be jedi, so is xp well spent taking :


Unarmed accuracy +12, these boxes would bring me accuracy upto +217 at master so i assume well spent.


At present my vibros are the 220dmg 2.2 speed jobs, so is it worth me taking any of the +3 speed boxes or am I already capped.


Plus re dmg powerups for pvp, can i use them in above vibro knuckles for PvP or is the dmg capped on them, somebody said it was somewhere on these forums.


Many thanks fellow masters, your support and guidance on these issues would be most gratefully recieved.

i just camed back to plat swg, about 4month break, lots of things have been changed.


anyway my template will be:

Master rifleman

TKM

medic 0-0-4-0

and little scout..


ithink this will be good pve and pvp template.


some1 would say that swordsman is better than tk, but as i am trandoshan i wanna use my racial bonuses and i also like tka...


also i will start to grind myself to padawan soon... ( i heared that it will take lots of times nowdays )

Hello all,

I have

MCH
TKM
3-0-0-0 Fencer
2-0-0-0 Medic

At the moment. My question is should I pick

0-3-0-0 Fencer

or even

0-4-0-0 Fencer
0-0-0-0 Medic

The reson why I picked 3-0-0-0 Fencer was to get higher melee defense, but looking through your templates, state defense might be more important. I do notice I get knocked down by higher end mobs like NS and Rancors. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't all but unarmed damage max out at +125? So if that is correct, FS melee accuracy for a TKM would be completely useless.


And you are speed capped for almost any VK right from TKM also. Go for the best damage you can get on a VK, ignore the speed. 2.2 is definitely plenty.

hi, im a tkm/novice pistoleer/3-0-4-4 bh. i was pveing with my vk (170 max dmg) and i really, really suck. i thought tkm was meant to be the best proffesion for pve and pvp? so i switched to my llc and i started doin ok, would it be better to go mbh/mpistols, stay with my current temp or go mswords/nov pistols/3-0-4-4bh?

In my opinion it really deppends on how you like to play the game. TK, in my opinion, is the best PvE AND PvP proffesion but it's not the best in either if that makes sense. Basicly it's the better all rounder. TK is great for PvE but high level PvE is very limited at times simply as you don't have the AP or verious damage types.

You seem pretty set on your BH part so are trying to work around that, from there it's down to what you want to kill. If you enjoy hunting Jedi alot but want to be able to solo in PvE very high level mobs I would suggest this template:


BH 3-0-4-0
Pistols 0-0-4-0
Master Swords


With that you have nice deffenses, the ability to track/hunt Jedi, you have Swords which is very effective againest a Jediif you can up your speed a bit & geta high damage hammer (this is more for the higher level Jedi who no longer have Melee Mitigation). As well as that you have a wide ranged in pistol skills so that if they run away you can still shoot them till you catch them up (or you can take out their bike etc).


However if you want a medium effectiveness PvE template as well as Jedi hunting I would say this:


BH 3-0-4-0
TKM
Pistol 0-0-4-0 OR Smuggler 0-0-4-0


With this you still have the tracking ability for Jedi, you have a wide range of pistol skills. TK does let you take on much high level PvE as long as you learn your limits, you will find grouping will improve this as TK do make some of the best tanks. As well as that it is very effective for taking on Jedi as you have very high toughness as a TK & so absorb a fair bit of the damage a Jedi does. You have the choice of either Smuggler Dirty Fighting which gives you feigndeath to make up for the lack of medic & some of the nicest pistol specials in the game (in my opinion), or you can take Pistols 0-0-4-0 for some other nice specials as well as some nice deffenses. As well as that you will have Ranged mitigation two which the only other way in these templates you can get is if you go 4-X-X-X BH if I remember correctly.


If you take the TK option though you have to grasp that you have your limits, TK is great up to medium-high level PvE, once you cross the line to very high level stuff though (generaly stuff thats not really ment to be soloable anyway) you lose alot of effectivness & need to learn your role.

Just to add, as you can probably tell, I don't recomend the LLC tree without master, it's slow, it's unaccurate, & to be honnest skill points could be invested much more wisely, it's not even that powerful in my opinion & comes in usful in only a few places.
