Ok guys.. I need some serious help.

I'm stuck.

Either...

A. Teras Kasi Master / Master Doctor / Pikeman 0040

--or--

B. Teras Kasi Master / Doc 4004 / Swords/fencer xxxx ( Suggest something here)


Lots of people have told me master doc is a waste of time.. But I don't know. I need your suggestions for the BEST PvP Melee template around.

Help please :-(

Im going for B myself 4xx4 Doc / TKM / Swordsman x444

x4xx gives you a nice +10 general melee speed wich will give you a total of

General Melee Speed +35

Unarmed Speed +65

And with the Improved Adrenal boost wich is 40%increased attack speed buff(i think) is very nice

you also getadvanced armor break and improved critical strike

Doh, I had a big post typed up and hit submit, then the board gave me a 404 Lets try this again:


Currently TKM, Master smuggler, Medic 0040, and some other junk. I would like to keep TKM, master smuggler if possible, but I need better heals. I can live with 0440 smuggler if I have to, but I'm definately keeping those two lines. So I have a few ideas:


TKM, M Smuggler, Novice doc --Not great heals, not great defense. I would stay at level 80 though, and I could always feign if I have to.


TKM, 0440 Smuggler, Doc 4004 --Buffs and heals. Only level 77 according to the calc I used. How good are the buffs? Are they really worth getting?


TKM, 0440 Smuggler, Combat Medic 4400 -- Heals and DoTs. Do the dots work unarmed? Do they do decent damage? Lower heals, but I can always burst run + Feign if I need to get a few moments to catch up on heals. Better defenses than my Doc template. Only level 77 according to calc.This one sounds like a lot of fun if it works.


I'll probably be spending most of my time in space for now, but I will need something workable when I'm taking a break from space. No need to be uber, just effective. So, anybody tried anything similar? If so, how did it work for you?


EDIT: Here's what I settled on... TKM, M Smuggler, Swords 0040, Novice medic. I also currently have 0120 Enhanced Reflexes, but I'm still trying to decide what I want to do with those 3 skills. I do ok, not a pure tank, but I can always pull out a pistol and kite if I have to. When soloing, just remember, Feign is your friend. If you fail right away, hit stand immediately and try again until you succeed in your fiegn.If it's just PvE, you can pull your swoop while you're down, then hit stand, mount, and speed away as they re-aggro on you.That's if they didnt' wonder off already. With novice med, +18 healing bio pants, and a med droid I heal for about 1000. With adv armor break on a target, the droid actually does some so so damage, but not really enough to pull aggro away from me. I can solo canyon and juv krayts, but the canyons I usually just cheese pull them into a group of random spawn mobs to make it a shorter fight. I can only do one at a time, if two come I feign right away and try to pull one again. I have a loot adv laser rifle I use to pull, and I'll pull out a pistol every now and then to land a low blow and restraining shot (I think that's the one... the smuggler special that lowers state defenses). Then it's back to knuckler before CoB times out. If you are caught holding a pistol in melee range when CoB runs out, you are in for a world of hurt.

Im Mater TK, Master Pikeman, Doc 0-0-0-4.


Melee def is 250 without improved COB


Unarmed Speed is 115 (have to check to verify)


But my Katarn Knuckler mod speed is 1.2 with no slice or powerup.


The template is awesome, just because I can utilize 2 different combat profs to their fullest.


Improved Impale with the katarn knuckler is insane.Plus i get an improved intimidate, warcry, armor break, bleed etc.


I use the tk knockdown because its a lot more accurate than the pikeman one. But the aoe knockdown and sweep come in really handy for pulling aggro off of lesser tanks heheh.


My heals are around 900 which i can pop every 4 seconds thanks to the speed buff. I tanked necrosis, and he was only hitting me for 600, and he missed every other attack, not to mention warcry slowed him down considerably. Powerboost, Breath of Heaven, Booster Blue, and my doc health buff puts me at 4400 health, the rest of my buffs plus spice and food lets me spam improved impale nonstop (katarn knuckles sac is only 75)


Damage is nice, I was tapping necrosis for an average of 650dps. Needless to say I held aggro on him the entire battle.


I love this template and I highly recommend it

OK. I'm TKM/MSwords/Doc4xxx and getting ready to embark on the wonderful world of The Village. I have 4 free SP's. What should I drop to fill out my FS branches? Doc seems to be the obvious answer as it would leave me CL80 and still double master with some healing ability. I do a lot of soloing, though. Is it worth losing the couple of CL's to keep Doc 4xxx? Any opinions and comments are greatly appreciated.

Daywalker - my advice is to do the missions, unlock the branches, but don't learn any of the skills until you have enough XP converted to learn all the skills at once... then you can learn all the 6 rows you need when you have the XP all banked. Instead of ruining your template while waiting to learn all these rows, 1 skill at a time, why not do the quests, unlock your branches, and when you have enough XP banked, learn all the skills at once. I don't know if this is possible, because I don't know the current max XP you can hold... but I'm pretty sure it is. I only started at the village a few days ago, and I have 600k FS XP already, and no skills learned, but I'm unlocking the branches in the mean time, and gaining more and more FS XP everyday until I have enough to learn all the skills I need from the village at once, and then start my padawan trials.

There is apparently not a cap on FS skill points, so you can just keep saving them up as you go. Visiting the village whenever you cap out on saved experience.

I have nearly the same template. Difference is in Pikeman, which i have xxx4. I really like it so far and can take down a 86 Krayt with a little time and of course lots of lvl 82 mobs on my own. So far so good. Can you give me a reason to switch over to xx4x instead?

0040 in fencer, you use blind, so they cannot hit you and it works well with jedi since you have high melee defence its near impossible to hit you, so less heals etc, plus a extra damage attack
