Thread: Why the nerf bat is on the way for TKA's....
TKA is by far the most powerful combat profession in the game. Instead of nerfing them along with the other brawler classes, the patch actually boosted them, giving them melee damage mitigation. I sincerely hope the almighty nerf bat visits this profession...When pvping with and against TKA's, they rule the battlefield because of:
1)Massive unarmed toughness. TKA's at master level are nearly impervious to harm with their unarmed toughness. Having been a master heavy swordsman, I get dropped in two hits from what a TKM can sit there and take 9 hits from. It takes concentrated fire from several ranged profession masters to drop a TKM.
2)Knockdown/dizzy. TKA's have it, the other melee professions don't come close to having anything simliar that can contest with the ability. In addition, aside from fencer or pistoleer, none of the professions have any decent defense bonuses against knockdown or dizzy (not that these defense bonuses EVER work anyway)
As more and more people begin to master TKA, the devs will finally wake up and notice that it is too overpowering and nerf it, those will be happy days for me, Perhaps I'm just a bit too bitter about pumping 20 headshot 3's into a TKA from 64m away, only to have the little **edit** take no damage and run all the way across the field to knock me down, and at the end of the battle still have 1/4 of his mind bar left.
Anyone with a dizzy attack and a posture changing attack can dizzy KD.
The only reason it takes multiple ranged professions to take most TKMs down is because we have enough common sense to wear armor.
That being said I do think TK is a little too powerful. The hordes of people flocking to it after recent patches kinda makes it obvious. I do kinda wish we'd get nerfed so all the people trying to be "ub3r 1337" would go away.
HA! No matter what they "nerf", there is always a way. THINK! A Teras Kasi master has plenty of points for any kind of ranged weapon skill. Bring your gun always just in case. I do, and i personally dont want a fair fight, I like to win! ![]()

What I hear: "I suck, change other professions so I can continue to suck!"
Class dismissed. ![]()
seriously...
the way i see this
"i was sitting 64m from a TKA who was charging me while i was shooting at him with my nice speedy rifle. i stood absolutely still, and because of the weapon i was using, i was only able to fire off 3 specials in the time it took for him to close in. rather than back up, i stood my ground, and when the TKA caught up to me, he beat me so all TKA should be nerfed because i didn't know i could move back"
umm...
Im a TKA and I got my butt whooped by a Rifleman, because he had sense enough to stay awayfrom me. Dont cry nerf just because you lost. Instead take that Wound healing time to think about how you can suck less.
Don't worry, if you gain some skill as a PVP'er you will do fine against any melee.
That is one of the smartest things I have seen on these boards. I myself am TK Master and working on Doctor. Yes it's true, with buffs and some kick ass composite armor I can take out a buttload of people. My personal best so far is 25 people before going down. Now, with that being said, these were all people who didn't really know how to pvp. I have run across people many times, riflemen included, that just whooped my ass and handed it back to me. Yeah your profession definately has some effect on pvp, but more than that, it is your knowledge of your class and it's strengths and weaknesses, and of course, good tactics.

If he ran 64m toward you and killed you it's your fault.
You are now "Crying Nerf".....crying Nerf is very bad.

Its all about armor my friend...as a TKM my damage vs a melee opponent who is wearing kinetic armor is quite low and the battle takes alot longer

Again...a TKM wearing a helmet is well prepared to avoid the dmg that u deal..its tactics
Besides..its very simple to create a dizzy/KD macro...it just so happens that TKM already have that macro given to them
As a high level pistoleer/BH u can shoot 1 time/second...so simply make a macro: dizzy/dizzy/KD/KD....chances are they will stick and bam u got ur KD/dizzy
