Stop posting threads on how bad the damage is. It's not. Veteren/more experienced players see right through this.

TKM hits XX for 400 points
TKM hits XX for 400 points
XX hits TKM for 800 points
TKM hits XX for 400 points
TKM hits XX for 400 points
XX hits TKM for 800 points

See where that is going? We don't have powerful single-attacks, but our speed is so great, we even out with about everyone we duel. And in my case, surpass them in damage. I have premium-sliced KK's. We also have COB, and if your a dabbler in swords like me, Sword flurry. Our defenses are great, so we absorb an unbelieavable amount of damage with our defenses.

So, once and for all. Stop the threads.

(BTW. Just posting this to help people. I'm not flaming. Just trying to help )

I agree. I am a TKM/ Master Swords/Doc 4/0/0/0 and I lasted about 7-8 minutes against a Fully templated Knight ( and no major buffs but spice and food). He did beat me, but it was a good fight I learned alot. Against non Jedi I have seen hits with my unsliced KK's at 1100 -1400 damage (with Critical strike and head strike). I love TKM and will never leave it.

Always a Teras kasi at heart! Before the NGE I mastered the following: Master Marksman, Brawler, Medic, Teras Kasi, Doctor, Carbineer, Rifleman, Swordsman, Pikeman, Creature Handler, Bounty Hunter,

TKA with no other melee profession specced does poor damage when compared to other professions. This is the reality.

Using TKM/Swords, TKM/Fencer or TKM/Whateveras an example is distorting the facts.

TKM is a tank, we are damage takers, not damage dealers.

Swordsman is a damage dealing melee profession, not a tanking profession. Pikeman is a crowd control, damage dealing prof.

This is whyTKA+Melee Profmarry so well.

We are one half of the coin, not the whole dollar.

Our DPS is not nearly up to par.. The fact that we have just one relitively high damage special isnt enough. We have to chain it with melee strike/hit.. and even then, using melee strike with melee hit does much higher dps than using combo attack at all. So while we're quite fast, using melee hit and melee strike, the 2 most novice of specials, our damage is very poor.

I am a tkm, swords 0044 and doc 4044 with sliced KK's, and I have dueled many people, and none that I have faced have had a higher damage output than me except for 2 Jedi, admittedly being able to use Critical Hit and Improved AB are important factors in that.

I've tested this, it is a myth used to pacify us,we do not hit faster than everyone else, PLUS you are arguing that TKM / Swords does great damage not pure TKM also with swords your speed is much faster than pure TKM.

So, once and for all. Stop the threads.

no, why would we stop?

BTW. Just posting this out of my discontent for the state our profession is in, why are you so afraid of improvement.

You don't have to involve yourself, We feel it is an important issue. If this wasn't going on it would just be the stupid "whats the best weapon for TKA" posts. Whether you think so or not there is a serious lack in this profession, we want this addressed. If you don't feel the same, you have the option to ignore these kinds of posts.

This just in: your post is a bunch of fluff.

One hit for every two, huh? Know many people that use base speed 4.0 weapons, do you?

Here's a few interesting points:

- Our best weapon has an unmodded speed of 2.0.
- A decent qualityPikeman or Swordsman weapon has an unmodded speed of roughly 2.4, and about 1.4 times the maximum damage of our best weapon. Because these weapons are crafted, they can be tuned towards either frontloaded damage or repeating damage instead of always being exactly the same, like our knucklers.
- Swordsmen get higher natural speed mods from their skill tree than TKAs do (10 points more, to be precise).
- Even if you did hit twice in the same time it took your opponent to hit once, which you wouldn't, this is not the same thing. If you aren't familiar with the difference between frontloaded damage and repeating damage in pvp, you are not a veteran/experienced player by any stretch.

All you're doing is regurgitating the same old generalised nonsense that TKAs have been deluding themselves with for ages. The fact of the matter is that we have very good defense and abysmal everything else. The selling point for our profession is readily available to anyone with 39 skill points to spare. We need either better crowd control or better offense to balance out as a standalone profession, and if it's all the same to you I'm quite happy to continue posting on the matter until something's done about it.
