Seriously something is very wrong if you ask me when you can be a tkm and have problem with a master rifleman or a fencer. Teräs Käsi masters is the opposite to Jedi masters but they have the same strenght as a Jedi master but in a different way.
Teräs Käsi masters use the inner way of handling the force. That means they speed up the body´s reflexes and boost their strength so they achieve speed that the eye cant notice for a normal person.
And a Jedi master learn to sense where the attacks are coming.
This is an example of a jedi master compared to a Teräs Käsi master when it comes to handle a combat situation against blasters:
The Jedi master use the force so he can feel where the shots lands. The shots will then be parried by the jedi´s Lightsaber.
Now the Teräs Käsi get attacked and instead of feeling where the shots land he can see the shots coming. So he dodges out of the way instead of blocks it.
The truth is that a jedi master can only react with his saber as fast as his body allow him to move.
So if the Jedi master get overwhelmed with too many shots his body will not be able to keep up with the force and the jedi master will die.
A Teräs Kasi uses the force to speed up so high that he moves so fast that the shots will never hit him. But a Teräs Käsi master has the problem that he cant feel if he get sniped by a long distance sniper as a jedi master can.
So the truth is: If a jedi master and a teräs Käsi master face eachother in fight to the death the odds is on the Teräs Käsi masters side because he moves to fast so even if the jedi can sense where he shall strike he cant do anything because his body will not be able to keep up.
Darth maul was a teräs käsi student and a sith, not even a teräs käsi warrior, and he took on a jedi padawan and a knight at the same time.
I hope the Devs will understand these simple rules otherwise stupid things will show up in the game heh.

Exactly. At the end of the day, this is a GAME. And I actually believe that a jedi master versus a teras kasi master would EASILY end in the Jedi's favour. As for the issue of teras kasi masters using the force; to be honest, I really, really doubt that most teras kasi users had access to the force. It seem's to me that they were about as Jedi-like as you can get - without being a jedi. I think the issue was confused when Jedi such as Maul and Windu took up teras kasi, and maybe some silly stories from RPG sources which I see floating around. In Shadow of the empire (is that what it was called?) I recall two deadly teras kasi sisters - they could not use the force. You mention darth maul - while it was true he practised teras kasi, his main weapon was his amazing use of the force. Without it, he would have been killed in seconds in the fight.

Yes this is a game. My suggestion is make Teräs Käsi a quest based proffesion as Jedi. And for the person that said jedi is stronger in every way and that Teräs Käsi did not use the force should checkhis sw knowledge a little bit.
A real Teräs Käsimaster was even more rare then a jedi master and more powerful.
But regardless Devs said that they would give Tkm the power they deserve so we can only wait and see. Lucky some of the devs know what TKM really is.
Here is my suggestions
Force speed and forcerun belong to a TKM not a Jedi master. And that would be balanced because tkm cant kite, They only use melee weapons and no forcesaber throw or force lightningso they would only use it to get in close range fast.
Tkm toughness should landwhere comp armor is after combat rebalance which will be around60% as i heard it.
a Tkm should have the ability to use healing as jedi but not offensive powers like force lightning or force throw or saber throw.
Resists on a tkm should be capped because of its training which is the inner way of force. That means every part of the body will be stronger.
A TKM´s toughness shouldNOT be able tostand against Lightsaber damage.
Instead of block they should have dodge that have 80% in melee wich cant be changed by intimidate and 60% on ranged attacks.
and cob should be removed so it is 80 and 60 nothing less nothing more that should be the cap.
The weapon choise should be every weapon that inflicts melee damage.
When jedi loses force run and force speed they should instead have saber deflection counter.
As i can see it this is a balanced quest based class it can be killed if enough fire power is on it.

I think you should re-read the useful information thread stickied at the top of the forum, your information on how a Teras Kasi master fights is a little eschewed.

to `hmmhmm` -
Show me ONE source in a star wars book that indicates that the teras kasi order was largely force sensitive, or force sensitive at all. And I don't mean that crappy RPG/Canon type information, either...all we have from the books, is Darth Maul, and the two deadly teras kasi sisters. And Maul used teras kasi as a reinforcement to his training in the force.

"Teräs Käsi masters use the inner way of handling the force."
Nowhere have TKAs been shown to have Force powers in any official source. TKA abilities come from special training, not the Force.
The rest of your argument collapses with that fact.

Note that the link Fuzzy posted only has fan fiction stuff in it, in other words, stuff that's totally made up.

Exactly..It's stupid how people are now taking fan fiction as the gospel truth.

Yes Darth Maul took on Qui'Gon and Obi'Wan, he however got smoked by Obi'Wan in the end. Where did it say in the movie that Darth Maul studied Teras Kasi? And I thought that TK's didn't or couldn't train as Jedi anyway (dark or otherwise) since it goes against what they are trying to do by learning the TK way.

A bunch of garbage. There's no official TKA handbook with dos and don'ts in it.

Oh well i try to make Teras Kasi a bit balanced but ok if you rather want a TKM + Jedi mastermelee defence tree + novice medic then its your decision. Then we speak about a uber god class against none jedi´s. And against Jedis just very very very hard to kill:
Right now TKM´s kill jedi knights. Yes if both are buffed because jedi will be out of forcebefore the battle is over. And if you call me a liar then i suggest you go to tarquinas and check out thejedi killers.
I have friends thattake on jedi knights and i have seen a rifle/tkmwin over a jedi knight. And yeshe have the fotm jeditemplate
Wich is master healer (tobe able to removeburning damage wich can ONLY be removed by master healers skill, jump into water or a fire blanket) And master lightsaber for 85% saber block and 4004 enchantment for meditate and forcerun.
Now thistkm you prefere instead of the balanced tkmwill be
165melee defence
145 ranged defence
capped all resistance even intimidate good luck get in that one
melee mitigation 3 wow that will make good damage on him
tkm toughness + jedi toughness = 80-90% dmg resistance (jedi toughness stack with tkm toughness this have already been done)
force defence 100
yay nearly a real tkm but this is not a tkm this is a Grand master Tkm from hell.
lets see what you would damage it for with a rifleman......
2400 mind damage / 90% =240 /75% pvp reduction = 48 and intimidate on that.............24 yey!!!!!
And everyone that has been in pvp knows that rifleman hits hard even through a comp armor because of heavy armor piercing or stun damage, but the toughness of this classwill not be effected by that.
congrats! a rifleman hits the tkm from hell for 24 mind dmg!!!!
Now ifyour unbuffed (no doc buffs, just your own tkm buffs) = 1000 mind + powerboost = 1500 +brandy totals roughly = 1995 mind pool Yay!!!!! count how many rifleman you need untill its dead.
And this was an unbuffed tkm now a TOTALLY buffed (doc, dancer, spices, food etc etc) tkm have:
health 3000 +
action 3000 +
mind 4000 +
i dont think i need to say morethis class WILL need around 30 people to kill it.
