Fenver or TKM? all this in PvP
Thinking of this template
Mbrawler
TKM
Fencer 4443
Pistoleer 0040
Or
TK (4443 or whatever)
master fencer
Pistoleer 0040.
i would say tkm , but some would argue but ive never had a problem beating them ,
but id go
MBralwer
TKM
Fencer 3440
and mswordman
you truly rock then this is a very good template

Agree with Naerbe.. Fencers never posed a problem to me regardless of their armor type..

definitly take you first choice....
both fencer and tkm really can't do much damage in PvP. with your first choice, you get the benefit of master brawler as well. (makes things much better) and you have the ability to target all pools (with tkm, land all states etc)...
second choice...you are forced to deal with the weaknesses of fencer with no other real options. most people are very prepared to handle the stun damage that fencer deals out. and with no viable AP1 weapon...(butter knifes don't count) do the math...

definitely Teras Kasi, the state of PvP requires that most fencers use a stun baton since all of their other weapons are kinetic, and armor has 80-90% kinetic resist now. Stun is easy to resist with intimidate, that will reduce their damage output by quite a bit, combine that with Stun layered armor, a Personal Shield Generator, and any of the foods, and you'll reduce their damage output to basically nothing. Like someone else said, you can also keep them in check without stun armor, or a PSG, trust me when I say Intimidate works wonders..

I'd say depends on your gear....if you have a stunbaton with at least 300 max damage I'd say Fencer
on jedi fencers can seriously outdamage a TK with a good gadefariti or whatever it's called and bodyhit3

TKM- higher damage (unless you buy uber ackley baton), AP1, target all three pools, more state effects.
almost forgot, high accuracy so you miss much less.

I forgot to add that i would have Mbrawler on BOTH...
I was thinking if kinetic or stun was a better option...
Although i know i will get very biased responses towards tkm since its a tkm board... i really like tkm a lot!!!

as I said...it depends on your weapons...fencer need very good stun and gafi baton...TK find good VK's pretty easy.
to compare both go to www.killyourpc.org/swg and calculate the DPS
for TK just add the stats of your VK to 250 and you have min/max damage
try to take into account you'll be facing 80%K protection with an AP1 weapon and 40% stun with an AP0 weapon....
see what weapones you can get hold of...Then decide
me..i'd take TK anyday..but that's cause I like it...when hunting knights I love having a fencer with me as he can almost put in twice the damage I can...

Look at the numbers.
Let's take a really nice stun baton, 250-300 damage (it would have to be an acklay).
Then a halfway-decent VK, 50-200 damage.
Now add 255 damage to that from TKM, and it is 305-555 damage.
Then go up against a guy with 30% stun 80% kinetic composite.
The fencer will be doing 250-300, but then it will be cut in half because a stun baton is AP0 and composite is AR1. So the fencer does 125-250 damage per hit. Then remove 30% of that damage and you're left with 88-175 damage (ignoring factors like PvP damage reduction and such).
The TKM will be doing 305-555 but gets no reduction from AR because a VK is AP1. You then remove 80% of that and you're left with 61-111 damage.
So even with an exceptional baton, a fencer doesn't outdamage a TKM by much. Your average fencer will be doing less.

Umn. Master both!
I was a M.Brawler TKM M.Fencer, (lunges are important with Fencer, so if you don't have TK with it, you need M.Brawler for sure) and waspretty successful.

Since scatterhit is fixed and most pvp´ler wearing stun armor/psg a fencer can deal serious damage only by using dots or "uber-weapons"...second fencer has no pure mindattack....and doing pvp most of the times its all about to drain the mindpool of your opponent as fast as possibile...so imo its better to stick with tkm and/or swords...
