Hello all, I'm sure this has been asked before but this thread is very large and I hope someone don't mind answering this I just got my Novice Teras Kasi and I wanted to get some info on what armor I should use at this point since I can use my Vibro Knuckler. Just on the side I'm a master dancer if that would help in telling me what armor is best.

Thank you all for any help

I think most Tk would agree that for daily grinding of exp most dont use armor at all. Once you land your debuffs most mobs arent hitting you for more than 30 to50 damage a hit. Now if you are fighting something that hits alot harder than that then Iwould buy a good set of advanced Ubese. It has 50% kenetic resists but you will take a major hit to your stats by wearing it, but its worth it in that situation.

I go with regular ubese and a personal shield. This may seem ridiculous for kinetic damage but it actually works really well. The shield splits the damage in half but has no effectiveness for kinetic so only halves the damage. Then the armor halves that in half and applies the 30 percent or so reduction to kinetic. Plus if you happen to get aggroed by a ranged combatant then you have some extra protection from the shield. Plus the shield does not have any HAM costs. This works for me and allows me to kill a ton of huge tough mobs with just my VK and a wrix. Good luck

Most TKs who CAN USE, use composite for pvp, and sometimes for pve. Although there is a debate going on right now, should TKs be able to use armor?

well the answer is yes, why shouldn't they be able to? the points abpit this debate are certianly moot in reguards to your question, and since right now they can wearthe armor, and enjoy the benfits from their class for the justification of not being able to wear the stuff, it would be a good idea to incroperate some kind of armor into your charecter for all senarios.

its moot point, i say wear it if you got it, and wear it as frequently as you want to.

For PvE - Ubese with some good kinetic resistance (I'd say 70% is good)

For PvP - Composite, of course, with a stun layer added

When you get TKM or close to it, ditch the armor for PvE, buffs will be good enough. Armor is always important in PvP though, no matter what.

For PvE a ubese helmet, jacket and boots. You can fight naked but you'll need stims.

And gloves... those are needed too...

Gloves, chestplate, boots, and helm cover everything. It is a bug, and i have tested it against mokks, krayts, force crystal hunters, and pvp.

never when grinding a profession. rancors are better for fs xp and cash, but when not far in a profession, they take too long.

High Level PvE (aka force crystal hunters and such) - Composite, some of them use power hammers and other strong weapons.
