I will start off by letting you know I am a Master: Brawler, Medic, Teras Kasi.

With those abilites I have trouble finding something I cannot kill. Today I wandered around Endor killing everything I saw until I pulled something with a 70% resist on my melee. That's about the only way I can lose if is his resists are too high for me. Master brawler makes you so much more effective in melee it's not even funny. The Intimidation +20 is great. The Intimidation2 makes it all possible. I can kill just about anything before Intimidate2 wears off (great in PvP, also).

I have posted this before but I am going to post it again. This is how it all works for me.

Intim2: cuts their damage by 50-70%

Blind: causes them to miss you (very effective on some mobs, useless on thers)

Stun: This is my favorite besides Intim2 - This will cut their damage in half again! I know that's not what it says it does but test it.

So take a mob that hits you for 160-250. Intimidate him and he drops to 40-70.Blind him and sometimes he won't hit you at all. Stun him and his damage will drop to around 20-40. Bear in mind these numbers are from a Master Brawler/Master TKA, so your numbers may be higher but the percentages should be pretty close.

Master Medic has it's obvious advantages.

I chose Brawler/Medic becuase I felt they were the best to compliment TKA. Just reading all you guys posts has convinced me I was right.

Now that I have no need for XP of any type, I often tank for folks using the above strategy. I don't even break a sweat tanking 2-3 Pikets, Nyms, Huurton Stalkers, Vortair Lizards, etc. (you get the idea). Solo, I can easily take any of the above (or similar) creatures at once. Note: These are all either red (most), yellow (some), or white (humanoids mostly).

PVP

I have no problems in PvP. I am not sure how wreckless you guys are but I pick my fights. That is the key. You run around wildly attacking any enemy and you get a trip to the cloning facility. I normally only participate in raids when in comes to PvP. With all the fighting going on it's very easy to pick my fights. Why is that so difficult? Everyone needs to get out of this narrow mindset for what we should br good at.

Attitudes like this from Selwynn will never be satisfied: "I think many of us would feel a lot better if we were a little weak from range, but brutaly leathal up close."

Hmm. Is it just me or does that sound one-sided? If the ranged players had us in range we would be "a little weak." In melee range however, melee would be "brutally lethal?" Be realistic.

TK is not dead. It just isn't the uber-end-all profession you may want it to be without the right complimetary skills (professions).

That should read while soloing I can take any two of the above (or similar) creatures at a time.I just don't feel TK is as weak as alot of people keep saying we are.

No one is complaining about our inability to be effective in PvE. We are complaining because we are ineffective in COMPARISON to other professions. In this game, damage is king. Sure, you might take less damage after intimidating/Stunning, but you're still taking more damage than the pistoleer who downs the target before it gets to him.

Otherwise, good suggestions(though this has all been beaten to death over and over on alot of other threads).

Please nerf TKA's! I just one hit incap'd myself again with knockdown!

That is not what people are complaining about. People are complaing about dying to white cons, blue cons, etc.

Damage is king? I hit for 400-600 every second while beserk (always) an can easily throw chain a few unarmed3s (2000dmg). I don;t see the problem.

Do you stim during fights? I'm wondering how well I can do this without any medic skills.

Hey it's great that you are sharing your secrets. But really now, like the Knockdown nerf. Just keep it to yourself and enjoy it. Because when development reads this they will nerf these 3 abilities and come up with some lame patch note that (insert skill here) was not orginally supposed to work this way, in fact it was a bug, so NO WE DIDN"T NERF YOU.

Goner... I stim like there's no tomorrow. I thinkyou'll find all TKs who say they took at least Master Medic make liberal use of stims. I've got a surgical droid with a built in crafting station that I use to make stims in the fielld (cuts down my downtime). It's quite possible to play with only Novice Medic, or even less... with use of buffs, groups, or a willingness to accept more downtime.

I definitley suggest high level medic skills for those looking to compliment TK without high level range skills or pets. I even strongly believe the benefits of partial Combat Medic or Doctor far outweigh that of Master Brawler (which I just dropped).

In answer to your question... many of us eat up stims pretty quickly.

Wow, I'm glad I mixed my TK skills with some Rifle and CH skills; It does the trick against any ranged users.

Stupidfly,

You don't see the problem because you're the opposite of your name. You're a smartfly. Brilliant perhaps. You pick the other professions that compliment and fill the needs you see in combat. Bravo sir, bravo. Posts like yours and attitudes like yours is what make this profession so great.

In all honesty I do not not I "eat through them." For example,a Piket on Dantooine, with thedebuffs, I may use one heal during the fight. Granted, I can completely heal myself with just one.

I wish I can skill excel like that in PvE... But alas I am only a Master Ranger and Master Teras Kasi...

Although I will admit that wearing armor now does let me live a lot longer suprisingly.
