OK!!!! DONT USE KNOCKDOWN WITH VK'S AND FULL ARMOR!!! get it? that simple. next person to complain cause they couldnt kill a wort, come see me in my office........

next issue:

YES! i hate the kd nerf. but i have worked around it. slowed down the game for me. xp much slower now. etc etc....= only fight non aggro non grouping creatures....equip/unequip vk's for knockdown....dont fight anything that requires 50 knockdowns. following me here???

REASON FOR NERF (maybe) devs saw everyone doing one thing over and over....not exploring the game as much as they hoped....leveling to fast....not giving anything to the general atmosphere and well being of the game. following me still? = try to spread yourself out...i found that faction fighting is a fun side story! now, you dont have to branch out if u dont want to. its your choice. these are just suggestions.

anyone saying they died from fighting blue creatures step to the line....take a blindfold....and shoot yourselves cause im tired of wasting my time with you. you are lying...you are cheating...u are just playing stupidly...*maybe all 3 or maybe just 1 of those* dont get made at the boss and hit your head on the floor till you bleed just to show that u are mad! stand up and be more mature and smarter than that and think around the issue!!!

*sigh* im done, spent, out......i cant even think anymore. peace!

Right on.

I'm just newly a Teras Kasi artist, but I agree with Tayse on a general level. Why does anyone want to play a game as rich as SWG (at least as far as locations are concerned), and power level themselves into uberdom in a week? Doing the same kill-grind for hours...days...weeks...my god, it makes me want to be sick.

At what point is the idea of a role-playing (ROLE. PLAYING. Playing a role within a setting. Hence the name) game become completely lost in rabid power-gaming?

It is at once sad and frustrating.

"OK!!!! DONT USE KNOCKDOWN WITH VK'S AND FULL ARMOR!!! get it? that simple. next person to complain cause they couldnt kill a wort, come see me in my office........"

So, you're saying it's "Okay" that we have to un-equip our weapons when we use special moves?

You think that's right, and fair, and balanced -- in spite of the fact that we already suffer five times as much damage/downtime than ranged weapon professions, not to mention being disadvantaged while at range, and without anything resembling the easy tab/auto-target crap that other professions have? While I'm running at top speed, trying to dodge balster fire, and targeting my adversay manually, I'm supposed to also make sure that my VK's are unequipped?

I'm sorry, that's just a pathetic work around, in my opinion. (If that's all that you meant--use it as a workaround--then you have my apologies, certainly.)

Yes, for now, unequipping VK's works wonders. It's like magic. We don't actually "kill' ourselves ... not fast, anyway.

But I still don't see how forcing us to do the equip/unequip dance is really all that fair and balanced. As a pistoleer, you hardly have to think (asa player). All you have to do iskite, spam special move a, b and c, thenrinse and repeat.

The 'bread and butter' of the TKA profession is doing special moves to induce combat states/debuffs on our targets. It's the only advantage we have. Personally, I think it's absurd that SOE is forcing us to use VK's, only to un-equip them. I

t's pathetic game design, really.

no no no....i said dont wear full armor and vk's at same time. thats a point i made to all the people who complain about not being able to do that specifically. the devs said from the start that armor was pretty much a bad idea to use. and thats a fact.

i didnt say anything about the running problem. so please leave irrelavent info out of this topic.

being dissadvantaged while at range.....duh! of course we are! thats the point of the profession! did i miss something or is it the rule that all professions should be equal??? seriously. and again, thats beyond the point of this post.

Fine. My 'gripe' still stands, however. We should not be penalized so severely for wearing VK's. It's pathetic game design, and serves only to further disadvantage TKA at close range.

"i didnt say anything about the running problem. so please leave irrelavent info out of this topic."

I didn't say anything about running being a 'problem', so I don't know what you're referring to. Please refrain from using belligerance (if at all possible for you.)

"being dissadvantaged while at range.....duh! of course we are! thats the point of the profession! did i miss something or is it the rule that all professions should be equal??? seriously. and again, thats beyond the point of this post."

It is very relevant to the point I was making: if we are already disadvantaged (and rightly so--I never said opposite of that--as you misread) then we should not be disadvantaged further. I assume you agree with that assessment.

Is Tayse a Teras Kasi Master? Who knows? One has to wonder, based on the lack of detail the inital post contains.

What is 'conning' blue to you these days, Tayse?

what are you talking about detail? the post says what it says? posts arent suppose to encompase every single problem all at once!

you mentioned "while running at full speed", since u felt it necessary to mention it in your argument then u thought that there was a reason to. and since your argument was a negetive one, then hence your statement about running at full speed must have been negetive also.

what does being a tk master have ANYTHING to do with my post??? nothing actually. im 1/1/4/2 for your information. what is blue to me these days...hmmm let me think.....not really sure, i mean, i dont fight blue creatures. i stick with white and yellow mostly...sometimes red if i know i can beat it. *shrug* again i dont understand what that has to do with the original post.

huh? i never said u said we WERENT dissadvantaged.

and no i dont agree with that assesement. you cannot use the professions 'default' advantages or disadvantages when arguing against non-default issues. any advantage or disadvantage between any two professions on a base level MUST be left out of the discussion. by arguing those default issues you are basically arguing against the total profession itself. arguments must be made on an issue by issue forum.

example: kiting, ham costs changes for special moves...ham cost for vk's/or armor....these are all non 'default' issues. they can be weighed against each other positively or negetivels in an argument.

example: ranged weapons advantage over unarmed, not being able to use other weapons, being hard to get xp cause we are up close to enemy....these are issues to the point of the base profession itself. they cannot be used to further arguments using the non-default issues.

"what are you talking about detail? the post says what it says? posts arent suppose to encompase every single problem all at once!"

Details, Tayse.

You say that people are lying about being incapped, 'pwned', etc. byblue-con mobs. What level of TKA are you talking about? What level of TKAare you, to be makingsuch assertions? Whatmobs are we talking about? What defenses do they have? What resistances? What moves are we talking about?

Details. They might give credence to your opinions.

And, yes, posts that raise issue with every single problem -- by making vague, generalized, sweeping claimes --are supposed to encompass every single problem that is raised. So, if you feel the need to make suchbroad assertions, don't be surprised if people rail against you, don't believe you, or simply don't care, when you don't provide details.

"you mentioned "while running at full speed", since u felt it necessary to mention it in your argument then u thought that there was a reason to. and since your argument was a negetive one, then hence your statement about running at full speed must have been negetive also."

My statement about running at top speed was not explicitly negative, Tayse. I never oncetalked about a 'runing problem', as you call it. I included a descriptive passageto amplify my concern over having to unequip/equip vibros in the middle of a fight. Again, you misread my initial post.

My exact words were "... While I'm running at top speed, trying to dodge blaster fire, and targeting my adversary manually, I'm supposed to also make sure that my VK's are unequipped?.."

Again, my "argument" is concerned withthe apparent need to equip/unequp VK's. This 'running problem' (that I supposedly mentioned) makes no sense to me. What are you talking about? Please, explainthe logic you're following.

at any given time there can be up to 3 or 4 posts stating that someone was incaped by a blue conned creature. im saying that they are lying, or cheating in some way and its coming back at them, or just playing the game stupidly. im saying that there is NO way anyone should legitimately be beaten by a blue conned creatues.

then i apologise if i missunderstood the running issue. i know there is a legitimate running issue and was assuming it was what u were hinting at. again i apologise if i was inccorect with thatassumption.

and i honestly dont understand why u think my topic is broad? i state specifically the issue of over doing it, *with vk;s and armor* i state exactly why i think the devs did the nerf.....and i state exactly that im tired of people yelling about being incaped by blue coned creatures.

"huh? i never said u said we WERENT dissadvantaged. "

No? Then why respond with a belligerent comment, like "Duh ... wer'e supposed to be at a disadvantage at range!"?

So, by that comment, I'm supposed to think thatyou agree with me?

"and no i dont agree with that assesement. you cannot use the professions 'default' advantages or disadvantages when arguing against non-default issues. any advantage or disadvantage between any two professions on a base level MUST be left out of the discussion. by arguing those default issues you are basically arguing against the total profession itself. arguments must be made on an issue by issue forum."

So, the 'default' advantage of supposedly being an effective combat profession 'up close' should be totally disregarded when reviewing the need to equip/unequip VK's, even though using VK's clearly influences this 'default' advantage?

I'm sorry, Tayse. Your logic does not 'wash' at all.

Unfortunately, you can only balance each profession w/PvE (and/or PvP) as long as you take a gestalt view of the problem. It is the very thing that you're talking about--discreet itemizing of benefits and defecits--that is the integral CAUSE of all of the problems we have right now. Unless you take the profession as a whole (i.e., not just a crude sum of it's parts) how do you hope to achieve any kind of balance or placement in the game? You make no sense at all, Tayse.

Let me get this right.. So what you are saying is that we should be ok with that fact that we are useless? What doI mean by that you say? Well tell me one other thing we are good at other than being the suckest combat elite profession in the game? The Devs say you suck at PvP and we dont care. The devs say they see us as tanks but anyone can have the sameHAM as us plus pets make better tanks. That is a few issues but you say we should be ok with that and use a work arounds and be happy. Whatever man! No other class has to unequip their weapon to do specials so why should we have to?We already have a disadvantage where we have to take dmg and get close in every fight.

The Devs say they see us as Tanks Hahahah what a laugh. Devs say be a tank but dont do any special moves with VK on because you will die to anything that cons more than blue. Makes sense tome.Lets say you are a Master TKA and you are in a big group or 2. You goto "TANK" and the thing 1 hits you and kills you. Shouldnt a Master TKA be able to"TANK" better than that? No healer could heal you fast enuff and that would be without doin a special move.SO you are saying we should be ok with all of this and be happy? In EQ a tank ment something. In this gameTanks = Pets only! Get a clue man and wake up!We were over powered in PvE before thepatch but nerfing VK and KD the way they did was not the answer to fixing that problem. All we are doing is letting the Devs know that! You comming on here talking about ...be happy with work arounds is not helping at all!
