Its very simple TKM's dont get armor , but instead get greta defense. Thats awesome and how it should be.
However because we dont have any armor certs the second professtion we choose will be worthless
****example*****
Im fighting someone with TKM , I decide to switch to another prof for some crowd control. Once I switch I loose all my TK defense(which means armor is a must). Meaning for this to be effective I will also have to put a suit of armor on mid pvp.

Firstly the deffences that we get in place of armour should remain active while we fight as a differnt proffesion. However you also won't be forced to change if you pick your template well (unless it's the damage type you are using you want to change, or if you are melee + ranged), don't forget moves are no longer split as ua, 2h, 1h, pole, pistols, carbs, riffles (etc), they are melee & ranged.
This gives you a large advantage, but it does deppend on picking you're template to what suits you & what makes the most of you're abilities for your playstyle.

So no matter what weapon I have equipd I'll still get TK defense? Dont think everyone will be running around with a FOTM TKM/damage dealing prof?

As long as you are not wearing armour you should get the deffences. & Personly I doubt our deffences will make us FOTM, people have differnt play styles, I dare say there may well be some situations in which those of us that are certed for armour will want to use the armour instead of relaying on our deffences, nearly everything in the system now has an downside as well as an upside don't forget.

I am not so sure about that - I don't know where the dice will fall after the CU, but a Jedi Master Defender also get insane Defensive mods. AND he gets bonuses to his force bar as well, so I think that is where those Jedi will go for it.

Ok, think this through guys before jumping to conclusions.
The choice will be this, basically... If you are a combat profession (let's say rifleman) and you want to boost your defenses you have 2 choices.
You can spend a ton of skillpoints and take up TKA and get really good defenses and not have to wear armor. Or you could spend 0 skillpoints and just put on a suit of armor.
I think most players will avoid having to spend the skillpoints if all they want is defense. Remember, TKA costs more now than it used to. Players will just get the best armor/PSG they can find and concentrate on picking professions that give them the abilities they want.
Now, if a person also wanted meditation, some melee fighting power, etc. they will take up TKA as a secondary profession. But I doubt the desire will be overwhelming enough that everyone will have TKA in their template.
The only thing that concerns me is TKA/Jedi. That could very well become FOTM. Fortunately you can't just pick up Jedi casually, so you won't see an overwhelming number of them. But I'm afraid almost every Jedi you run into will have TKA.

I think of it like this bro..I Have TKM with Jedi Skills.
And you are correct..it took me a long time to get my template(its not a quick pick), and with all the BHs hunting me cause I seem like a low lvl Jedi..its also a tough life.
TKM 4 da Win!
TerasKasi Artist is not a profession..its a way of life.

Not possible. You can get to TKM, Master Defender and Healer 4xxx with 4 SP left over.
