Questions - Last update 04/04



- Can we get some details on meditation.

- Will TKA SEAs drop as AA's? This could cause some big problems.

- Will a PSG effect our TIA?

- How is the RK aquired? & does it still require an NS Vibromotor?

- How will TIA work? a stright percentage reduction? or in a differnt way?

If I'm a TKM why would i need to know how to use a 2h sword?

Since melee and range mitigation is gone...Will this be replaced totally with just melee and range defense? If so what is the new cap? How does it work, such as decreasing the damage taken or just avoidance?


TKA is the only combat profession with out armor certs...will the defenses given to this profession be enough for it to fulfill its roll as the primary tank of the group? If it is intended to "suggest" that our natural progression is into swordsman for armor, is it fair that we would be required to use 4440 instead of 4040 just to get armor?


Would it possible to start making duel certifications please? Like the mass nuckler is in commando, its nice that they get something like that because of thier prereqs, but wouldnt it make sense that a tka would know how to use it too? Same holds true for the alliance disrupter for combat medics, shouldnt a master pistoleer be able to handle this gun too? Duel ceritfications please.

how come we dont have intimidate or warcry. Dumb pikemen have it. And we are the Tankers!!!!

Pikemen are also a form of tankers, however we tank my avoidance, they tank by lowering the output of the target. Thats why.

here is my problem with pre-design roles. Everyone not going to use TKM the same way.


You might have a DR/TKM or Tailor TKM or even some crafter/TKm just to check their harvestors and live to tell about it.



Me for example, was the 2nd TKM on StarSider only bye 45mins. I love TKM, will never steer away from it. I think they gimping us bye not giving us intimidate or warcry. We already can not wear armor. If we pick up a secondary Elite Prof. then we can. But i would really like to see intimidate and warcry back to TKM. Plus it helps on jedi killing

One thing though, I hate saying this but I believe it true of the system & is the only way to balance, not everyone is going to get what they like to do from the proffesions they are, alot of people may find they change from a proffesion that they really like to another simply as the role of the proffesion they switch to more suits their play style. This is especialy so in a proffesion like fencer where their role has changed a greatdeal (from deffence to offencive roles).

As it is TKA gets tanking my avoidence, it suits the proffesion well (in my opinion) & thus another proffesion (pikeman) gets tanking by opponent modifying.

well i would like to know how we should be the great tanks trough avoidence with those skills:


example


Teras Kasi Master:

85 Melee defence

55 Range defence

75 Unarmed Defence


Master Pikeman:

85 Melee defence

55 Range defence

70 Pike defence


So the only advantage:5 Points in choosen weapon defence


Pikeman gets warcry,stun and intimidate,great defensive abilitys

Pikeman is able to wear armor


Teras Kasi on the other hand gets nothing to improve his defence exept improved center of beeing,

well even if this would be many times as powerfull as (normal)center of beeing,evryone can use it (center of beeing =brawler skill)and all he has to do is getting 0100 Teras Kasi


There must be some hidden mitigation skills or something like that,otherwise pikeman would be way more powerful in tanking.

No. you're thinking of the new system in the context of what's in Live today.


The only people to get mitigation are BH
Pikeman "tank" by lowering the defenses and damage of the opponent.
TK's tank by avoidance.
No one has gotten to elite yet to see how this really works, but I imagine that we will avoid A LOT of hits.

Think of it this way, Teras Kasi is the ONLY profession that is rated a 5 for defense. (all rankings are 1-5)
I know this sounds like it won't work without armor and such, but that isn't the case.

I know they are rated with points,but the new system follows similar concepts,just play on test center( i had no big surprise about how things work)


We can see the skill threes alredy on tc5 +descritiptions.


Intimidate,center of beeing(which we can test alredy without tka) and warcry are pretty the same stuff on cu as in live,we just dont know how strong they will be(time,percentagte and so on)

Stun stops regeneration of ability points for a short period of time(so its is still great for defence)


The defence numbers(melee,range,weapon defence), no matter how they work, are nearly the same for pikeman and teras kasi.

And because they are so similar,teras kasi must get defence from some other source (which we cant see in the skill threes yet) to be tank #1


ok there is still the possbility that dizzy(now lowers accuracy and defence) ist the big deal to avoid damage,but i dont think so.


so basicaly i just want to know HOW we avoid damage,it cant be through melee,range or unarmed defence with the current skills, because we arent better then pikeman in those.

From what I've seen and experienced, thus far I like alot of the changes that we've seen coming down the pipeline. I like the idea of tka not wearing armor. My concern however comes from Armor Attachments. Is it a safe assumption that we are at a disadvantage for bonuses from these? I can of course useclothing attachments, butthere are not as many slotsfor clothing as there is armor.Is there any plans to resolve this problem? (Perhaps create clothingthat thatcould be put in allthe normal armor slots? Example: leather bracers and so on)I loveTKM, but I'm also an avid attachement collector and user. Please tell methis has been discussed.

Does a TKM retain his defence when using a non tkm weapon. Say a tkm carbineer.


When using the carbine, do any defences change since we can profession stack?


Can we use a two handed sword to do advanced tkm moves, since we are certified in it?
