here is a suggestion to any devs that might be reading these boards. acquiring terras kasi novice is at least twice as hard to obtainas any other novice elite skill. i think the best way to fix this is to change how an enemy cons during combat. as you know, the experience you obtain from kills is dependent greatly apon how an enemy cons in combat. since terras kasi is a skill that disallows arming of a weapon before acquisition of a novice elite skill (since the recent change of skilll lvls needed to obtain vibroknuckler cert), the difficulty of an enemy should also be partially determinate upon available enhancements at that skill lvl (i.e. weapons available to be equiped).in all other professions it is possible to equip yourself well enough so that, at times,you can single-handedly kill an enemy who cons yellow (and sometimes even red). in unarmed (terra kasi), before acquiring the 125000 xp required for novice, i even have problems with the white sunburst at times; and when they gang up, i have absolutely no chance.

I am pretty sure I made TK novice without ever using knucklers. It is supposed to be hard. It is an elite profession. I suggest you take an alternate path, such as pistoleer, if you want it to be easy.

Actually, its not very difficult to achieve TKN. You just have to find a good group and stick with it for a couple hours. I just recently got it.

The sad thing is i used Vibroknuckles, and they worked betetr for me than without even without the certification? They did maybe 30 less damage each hit, but i was able to attack much faster, which allowed me to do damage more often. This is what needs to be changed. You should not have to use Vks when getting unarmed or TK, or at least it shoouldnt help you out.

i got novice teras kasi before people were even able to craft vibro knucklers...

It is supposed to be hard have you even looked at the requirements in the TKA tree??

Dude if you are discouraged now, just you wait, leveling in TKA is HELL.

However, let me tell you, it is worth every training moment. When it comes to all elite brawler professions TKA win every time, if the TKM knows what he/she is doing (gotta love that dizzy!! WHOO)

Simply put, keep at it, keep training, the rewards are worth the hours of leveling

I think the main point of the post is to compare gaining tk novice vs any other novice profession that requires 1 line (so the 4 melee elites and 3 ranged).

With any other profession once you make 1 box IF you have the money to buy a master level weapon you are set. If you doubt that try one. I recently just helped a friend get novice fencer how you ask? Well for the first 1k exp (to get a cert for curved swords) she attacked a base while i killed everything that spawned out of it. This using her newbie dagger netted her 400ish exp so we did it 3 times. I trained her in the intermediate 1h swords. I gave her a master quality curved sword and she proceeded to go solo reds and get novice fencer in a few hours (with no further help from me).

I did the same thign for a pistoleer friend except it was even faster (DH17 or whatever 1 box gets you is just sick).

The only class that can't level easily like this is unarmed brawler. Should it be fixed? Who knows but there is a major discrepancy in the time required for Novice elite skills.

Im also gonna pick up some fencing, polearm, and swordsman for the bonuses

heres a tip,get in a group with a tank pet,tank fambaas on naboo,get 600-1000 a fambaa (till novice when this is upped to 2-3k) solo the lair (3.5K) get the cahs,move on,have it in a day of pwoergrinding or maybe 5 days casual grinding good luck,how i did it,one day...

Leveling TKA isn't hell lol...

Leveling upt to TKA Novice.. now that's hell.

i've been on rori doing missions for 2 days now and i already have 80k of the 125k needed. i've been using a fast VK for the speed upgrade a pet to help out and get better missions. i get maybe 1.2k xp per imp i kill so i should have TKN any day now.

Once you Master TKA then the XP really rolls in ROFL I got over 500K of XP today alone.

But like they say, unarmed 4 to Novice TKA is a tin plated **edit**.

I got novice TKA on my day off and the whole unarmed line in maybe 4 days (i'm not a power plyer by far)... its not as hard as it was for me to get the combat xp for BH or even the scouting xp for CH...

maliubrooke- i think your statement is quite funny since pistoleer is actually much harder to obtain than tKM. Once you hit novice and then get knockdown/dizzy TK is a powerlevelers dream - whereas pistol reminds a grind...
