Thread: Katarn Or Necrosis?

Ok ive been wondering which one to drop my adk one but i have got no solid advice all ive heard is " That ones better/this ones better" with no reasons attached. Necrosis knucks have higher damage max like 764 and a little bit slower speed then katarn but they also have +10 unarmed damage and +10 unarmed speed on them which boosts them a bit, only thing katarn has is the lil bit faster speed and some cold damage, everyone says katarn is better i was just wondering how cause necrosis seem like the better ones to me atm

Damage doesnt matter.
If you had a weapon that had 2k min 2500 max damage
But a 20 second speed
would you use it?
DPS is what you gotta watch. The Katarn has higher DPS, generally low SAC, and the elemental damage is nice as well.

Equip them each, and see what your modified DPS is (after equipping them, otherwise you'll not get the bonus from the speed on the nightblade). The Mod dps number takes into account the damage, elemental damage, and speed mod.
One note, and someone correct me if I am wrong, but unarmed damage will only help if you are truly unarmed (ie it doesn't stack with knuckles like it did pre-CU).
Finally, they are both very close either way... use the one you like better! I wear the Kats, because I think they look awesome and I never really cared for the look of the Necro-blade.

i know that necro and katarn are the best... but the razor fist is a good solotion without busting the bank, doing the necrosis quest on your own or with powerful (and let's not forget genorous) friends, or killing the katarn on your own (NO ONE ever want to help me with this...not even my guild!!)

Well we had like 5 people in the guild with the Katarn quest at the same time so we all helped each other out. And unlike Necro, everyone gets a knuckler when it's over.

...razor fist? i've never seen one of these in live.

had both tested both elemental works now, go with the katarn.
but the necrosis nightblade does look nice!
so again its down to personal choice.
but if the question is which one does more/better dam then it's the katarn.

LOL dont listen to him at all.
PVP DPS means squat, look at max dmg first, then go for SAC, then go for speed, and YES if i had a weapon with 2500 max i would use it, thats a 10k freekin adv combo 1 hit anyone

if ur faster then ur oponent then u can hit him more times per second thus inflicting more dmg thus being the winnner of the fight

You know nothingh about dueling, or specail attacks, doa bitta research and learn about dmg multiplyers and what there based on.

Katarn Knuckler is better. Necro's unarmed mod doesn't stack when using a knuckler so it's a pointless mod. Get your Katarn sliced.. I recomend max dmg, lvl 1 critical, lvl 1 speed.... trust me, you'll like it

Can smugglers slice bio-linked items? I gave up smuggler a few pubs ago.
