Teras Kasi Archive

I've never gotten into any of the Star Wars novels and such. But since I'm working my way up to Teras kasi Artist I should probably start.

Could any of you suggest some good Star Wars Novels featuring TKA's to help me out in this regard?

I'd like to read some TKA fiction too. Went into the bookstore today but couldn't work out what to buy.

There really isn't any, though two are mentioned in Shadows of the Empire. Maybe I can talk my wife into penning one

I have never read or watched any Star Wars material outside of the major movies, but from the information posted here by those in the know, I think it would be a very bad idea for you to read the novels.

Supposedly, the Teras Kasi were somewhat of a secret order of very powerful fighters that held their own against the Jedi and were often force sensitive themselves. Some Teras Kasi were also Jedi.

Such knowledge only serves to further enrage me at how hypocrital the developers are about adhering to the Star Wars universe. However, if you want to gather quotes from Star Wars literature that we can use to humiliate the developers' assinine responses to our queries, I'm all for that.

starwars.com has no info at all about the Teras Kasi. The only things I can dig up on the internet about them are that Teras Kasi means "steal hands" (Finish language) and that it was a form of fighting perfected by Bukini monks. As well as references that other people in this thread have mentioned..

There was a short run of SW RPG magazines called Star Wars Gamer it was put out by wizards of the coast. They included PnP levels and scenarios as well as reviewed SW card games but they also had short fiction stories that ran in them as well. (I found all this out by looking for info on TKA's at Boarders today, I was looking up the only TKA it mention Arden Lyn from the Game. and it refered me to the game itself and also star wars gamer magazine) It ways the first 8 magazines had stories of Arden Lyns past. And probably has a few tid bits about the Teras Kasi as well.

Although the Teras Kasi haven't appeared in any novels up to this point, Timothy Zahn's Specter of the Past and Vision of the Future contain a character named Shada sho is a member of a secret martial arts society very similar to the Teras Kasi called the Mystrils. Not quite the same but at least it can give you an idea of what the Teras Kasi were like.

OMG.. what a piece of **edit** game.. the only Teras Kasi in that game is Arden Lynn or whatever her name is. That is so pathetic.. and you have Luke and Darth Vader with light sabers?... it's not like you can block a light saber! .. sheesh.. whoever made that game needs ta die lol

Also someone recommended the SW RPG book "The Heores Guide" around page 50 there is supposed to be a complete Mock up of the Teris Kasi.

If someone out there has this it would be cool if you could post some of the info on them. I would like to find out as much as I can.
