Thread: Power Boost...Whats the Punchline?

I understand that PowerBoost is supposed to be a joke, i just dont get it.

I do 118 Mind Wound damamge to myself (that my Meditation skill cannot heal apparently, thats stupid)... to get a slight boost in Health and Action for what? 15 seconds or so? If even that?

I knew i should have saved that XP to go towards Balance... but NO, i had to go ahead and become 2-2-4-2 in the tree.

Fixing this joke of an ability should be the #1 concern of all Teras Kasi (#1 being the whole "cant attack anyone while im moving even tho im well within range and my polygons are meshing with the targets" problem).

I dont want to be a whiner, i dont want to be the most powerful. I just feel that I should get just a bit more for all the unarmed xp i spent to get meditation 2 and power boost.

lol, did the same thing, thought power boost cannot be as bad as it is made out.

Maybe it's not a joke and was implemented to bring entertainers more work.

Think for me it lasted 15 seconds before it degraded 30 seconds total, but I got 200+ mind wounds for it. It had even expired before I started fighting.

At least they posted it's a bug and is supposedly fixed, just have to wait for the patch to fix it.

For the time being, just use /powerboost to help out you Entertainer friends.

I have heard thatEntertainers getmore exp for healing your mind wounds as opposed to healing Battle Fatigue (that's what i heard, if i'm wrong don't shoot the messenger! )

What better way to help powerlevel your entertainer friends with a constant source of mind wounds. I can inflict them faster than a Master Dancer + Master Musician can heal them, imagine how much you would be helping out those budding entertainers

Thunderwolf knows something, Thunderwolf knows something. But he's not tellin' hmmmm.... i'll take this as a good sign, that I will.

And you can heal your wounds from it at Med 4... but you have to be Med 4... and by the time it heals it's almost over.

go up the meditation line last since it has really no use outside of meditation 4. i'm assuming they'll tweak powerboost so that it will temporarily replace the use of VKs for a certain amount of time.

I hate you

The combat developer did say that power boost had been fixed internally. Apparently they did a nice job.

I think everyone will be pleased.

Programmer working on it is a heck of a nice guy too. Very responsive and open to suggestions.

Apparently not, as there are nearly 20,000 posts in this forum, many of them suggestions, and the only positive change to this class since launch are the recent changes to base power which simply put things back to where they were before being intentionally reduced. The class is still very much worse off than it even was at launch.

Yeah yeah yeah we know! They already said its broken - it is to be fixed. It was in the combat update notes. Check the dev tracker for more info.

That is the stupidest statement I have ever read.
