All weapons based professions are coming to an abrupt end. The reign of the TKA, and Jedi shall live on.

It requires a master, using the best quality resources to make a normal gun, when before it took that master only mediocre quality resources to craft the SAME gun, with the SAME stats. Due to the rarity of resources with JUST the right combination of high qualities, these weapons will be insanely expensive. even a mediocre VK is sufficient to the TKA.

And You Didnt Believe Me

At this point I am no longer angry, I am amazed. I cant wait to find out whats next. Its like the people that listen to howard stern, they say that the people that hate him and want him removed from the air, listen to him MORE hours a day, than his fans, lol. That is why I stay.

It is good for TKA, not for me alas(swordsman).

I always though the Devs had an interest in TKa advancement over others.

The whole experimentation thing doesn't end with weapons...(I am on TC).

It has affected our armor, harvesters, foods, BE pets, and even my meds.

Pre patch, I could use a set of resources to get decent stimc's. 31 charges, 340+ damage. Now, same resources, 29 charges and only 299 - 305 damage.

Same thing for buff packs.

IMHO, this is a way to get the quality of the resources and the search for te best resources to matter again in crafting, although it is destroying the med profession (class 4 liquid petro fuel. hasn't been a good spawn in over 4 months. )

That sucks...

So I guess a lot of people will be stocking up on pre-patch items?

Well, first off, TKAs not using VKs is more common than them using them.

Secondly, we have ONE damage type. Our weapons need to be good otherwise our chances in PvP are somewhat blown, the 80% kinetic resist armors out there don't really help.

Finally, something you strap on to your hand, I mean come on, it's not like some ranged weapon that requires much greater technology and much more accurate, detailed work.

I would suggest, as stated, stocking up on pre patch items. Resources won't help you, unless they are STELLAR! (all needed attributes in the 900+ range).

Well Jedi is a weapons based profession too. Though we are not allowed to experiment. Which is kinda silly now that I think about it....

But yeah this will blow game balance big time. Especially since people will stock up on pre-nerf weapons. Think hundreds upon hundreds of crates of these weapons. We wont run out of them for years. An any new Smiths are SOL.

I forsee it now

1. Weapons nerfed

2. Power nerfed

3. More potentially powerful and ultimately versatile, foods, spices, etc

4. Creatures Made More Powerful

5. Groups Required For Almost Everything

6. Only the super rich will be able to compete in a straight shoot out, uber

weapon prices will skyrocket, few

will pvp, due to the growing uneasiness with combatting

anyone, and what they may have up their

sleeve, when you are sporting your hot kick ass(for then)

300 dmg powerhammer, woo hoo!! and its

quality gives you like 100 uses, oh my god! Lol.

great pvp is already pretty dead (cept in a few areas).

but on the bright side, the slicing market may increase! (yay, more money for me!)

but on the other hand.....

if all weapons end up being sub par compared to the current ones, soon almost everyone will be using the lesser weapons, an this might elliminate the one shot kill scenarios, an pvp may flourish a lil more....

There are many changes that happened on TC that never made it to live. And there are many things that did.

It's entirely possible that this won't make it live if it's a big enough issue. Or, if it does, it's part of the combat revamp, to get insane-damage-weapons off the market.
