Thread: The Best TKA Templates

Ok, I am pretty new to TKA but I do know something about templates (in my templates I am assuming one would have 1000 scout).


TKM, Master Doc - It burnsalmost all of your skill points but allows you to buff yourself in the field and heal disease/poison and lots of damagewhile in combat.


TKM, Master Swordsman, 4040 Fencer - Excellent defense vs. states and ranged/melee, swordsman do a lot of good targeted damage.


TKM, 0044 Pistoleer - Excellent defense vs. states and ranged/mellee, allows you to dabble in other professions since you will have skill points left.


TKM, Master Rifleman - Good defenses, you shoot from far away and then switch to your trusty knuckler up close.



These are what I have found to be the four best templates for TKM players who wish to do a lot of combat. Templates such as TKM/CM I do not think are very effective. One option for anyone who has the skill points is to master brawler. You get extra defense, intimidate 2,and lunge 2 which is highly effective. I do not think CH is very useful for TKMs because we are our own tanks, CH is better for ranged classes. If your not a TKM/Doc, some medic can be very useful in emergencies. It is especially useful when your buffs run outor you are fighting something with very high damage that can break through armor and buffs. Also, when creating your template, consider that you will often times be in groups and will need to have skills that help others as well as yourself. I would also think that ranger could be useful for those TKMs who choose to make money hunting. There are many different set-ups. The most important thing is that you consider what is best for you and those who you fight with, and what will make TKM most fun.


Remember, we have meditate, and that makes us better than everyone else =)

Excellent post, although I do think CM/TKM could be effective.

TKM / MRifles / Medic 0040 / Pistoleer 0041

Gives almost capped ranged defense ( get +6 SEA and you got it)

about 110 melee def

good state def

with thatkitillo you get capped def vs kd

very good ranged attacks and good melee attacks

works for both pve and pvp


this is what im doing, 0020 pistols atm rest is done.

Idid something almost the same as that, I went TKM / Master Rifleman / Pistoleer 0041 and novice Fencer. This does cap my melee and ranged defenses, not sure if it is an equal trade off for medic, but I am pretty happy with it. I can tank a krayt canoyn without heals in a suit of ubese forever, I can solo it if I haveenough time (given the TKAs do little damage to them)to kill it to.

Right now i have some CM and TKA and i like it so far... I actually wrecked a master rifleman this way. I left my title on as guardsman and had a fwg5 in my hand. As soon as his name turned red i threw him a mind poison and switched to my VK's andI lungedhim to change his posture then i dizzied him. I used lunge again (because i didn't have knockdown yet). Then i proceeded to stomp on him.. That was total trickery on my part but it goes to show you, no matter what template you are, as long as you are smart and know your opponents weakness there's almost always a way to kill him.

how about TKM/Master Pistoleer/Master Smuggler= Income, delay (cheap and dirty attacks) Ranged and melee defense...and DODGE BUT however you cant climb hills fast lol

master tka

novice doc

combat medic 4xx4

(heal states, cure poison medpacks, cure diseasewith meditation, stim E, terrain egociation from cm,, top combat medic use and effectiveness with poison C)

I was thinking about it and scout wouldn't be necessary if oyu jus tpermantly wore one of those b-wing flight suits with +5 terrain negotiation. That would give you a lot more skill points.

I have a TKM/Master CH alt, and the only reason for it is so I can get 25k missions I can solo in 30 seconds as opposed to 9k missions I can solo in 20 seconds.
