Thread: DEVS! TKA robes similar to Jedi Robes. Would work for all brawler classes and advanced classes.

I agree, though I think classes like Pikeman and Swordsman should have great usefulness with Ubuse or RIS armor! You, know Samurais, used armor too

But yeahh... TKAs should not have ARMOR IMO!

I suggestsome Teras Kasi exclusive quests, involving schemetics forspecial TKA clothes, with unarmed thougness/damage/speed/acuracy modifiers on them! schemetics that could be brought to tailor! - or even better.. Make it like they are needed to be brought on the quests, like AS and DE in Death watch bunker!

The tailor proffesion is having a hard time currently, and this would be an awsome adventure for both Teras kasis and Tailors alike, to co-work

NOTE: Robe in this carse means Gee or however you spell that word. I don't mean a robe I mean somethingsimilar like Ryu wears! Hope that clears it up. The final conception of the outfit is up to the art department.

I was thinking about the cool new Jedi robes and was wondering why they don't adopt this idea to the brawler classes? I mean a TKA really would not be able to do his trade in full composite armor just likea Jedi did not do his trade in armor. It goes against everything they stand for in both cases.

The TKA art is about mobility and freedom of movement. You must be quick and light on your feet. The same goes for almost all brawler classes. So why not take the Jedi robe idea and make some sort of ceritifactions and give the brawler classes something similar except tailored to them?

I think it would give the brawler class a much needed lift and give us some very cool outfits. I was thinking something craftable made by a Tailorwith all different types of robes that offer different protections. The cap would be like 40% because the encumbrance would not be as much on us. These robes would also have new loot drops for them for crafting them, and be able to use skill tapes. There should also certifications for the more powerful Gees/Robes (not sure how to spell the word) as you progress through the different levels of all the brawler classes and upper classes. Reserving the top robes for the masters and such.

My point is it seems there are some really good ideas from the new Jedi stuff that I think would work just as good for the orignal classes that should have gotten attention before Jedi.

Ps. I am not saying that you could not still use armor but for a TKA I don't think armor fits the class. Right now its all we have but really no TKA master would wear armor and robes or Gees would be more fitting and coudl be done just like the Jedi get.

Excellent idea! I think that it's resists should be minimal, though, and rather give us better defenses directly, such as ranged, melee, and possibly dodge, instead of resists against damage types like armor does.

Oh forgive me for not doing some homework here but instead of a robe how about the pajama like outfit that most karate combatants wear in tournaments and practice?

welll the jedi robe is more in line with the films , which is pretty cool , now i agree with TKM getting a Robe are some sort of outfit i normalt wear a doctor dress as a tkm , but i think tkm shouldnt be able to wear armour anyway as we are a martial artist and we need all the movement and wearing armour should slow and decrise are damage but hte robe's should have some protection

Actually, after combat balance armor will be less usefull do to not only its encumbrance but also because it sounds like even composite will be maxed at around 50%. The other armors will become more usefull which will be very nice, less power ranger clones.

Also, I have a strong feeling that the certs on the manda armor will migrate into the other armor and classes, meaning I almost expect to see certs for Composite, Ubese, Tantel, RIS (maybe not RIS, so rare as it is), BH. Would not expect it for Bone armor or armorweave unless they drastically improve those, those would be noob armors.

I have an alt that plays with armor and is a master armorsmith, and I really hate composite so I thought I would play with Tantel some. If we, TK or brawlers in general, got an armor cert it should be this armor. It has not vulnerabilities, can be made with over 50% energy resists, and with looted enhancements you could probably get the other stats up to around 50% as well. Looks very light and clothing like, and only covers feat, head and chest. Real great choice of colors as well to customise the look of the armor.

Although, I still love the idea of getting special clothes with Unatural toughness of like +30 to all, that would be very cool indeed. But short of that, an armor like Tantel after the balance would work well too.

Just to make sure everyone sees it I mean a Gee like Ryu wears in Street Fighter. The clothes or whatever would be tailor craftable and hey I am open as to what they could give bonuses too. Perhaps they would enhance our dodge and give very little armor like protection. They could be tweaked all kinds of ways but a TKA wearing armor is lame but it is our only choice until Devs give us something more.

So we get a Ryu outfit and the Jedi keep their Robes. Very different outfits for sure.

The ability of a TK to counterattack and to dodge should always come from practise and physical conditioning (stat modifiers) and not armour. End of story.

So you are against a Ryu type outfit then that gives us bonuses? I mean this is not real life man its a game. We need something here and armor is lame. So either give us cool outifts like we deserve with some sort of bonuses or give us the outfit without the bonuses but put those bonuses in the TKA tree.
