Is that gonna be a TKA thing?

Well for PVE the TKM/Pistoleer/Smuggler isn't bad. I've got that, and I've noticed that for the most part, I use my TK skills. However, you run across a few creatures/npc's who have like 100% resistance to kinetic. That's when the pistoleer comes in handy. I've been a master pistoleer for a while, and I keep an assortment of different pistols for each damage type. Also if you notice, some creatures like to get scared and run from you when you are beating the snot out of them, so any ranged professioin helps you out with that. HOWEVER.......If you don't really care about the smuggler profession and you aren't fond of ranged, you may wanna try a different melee profession. We are the only ones restricted to one type of damage, so just figure out whether you want ranged or another melee, then grab the weapons you'll need to inflict the different types of damage, and you'll be awesome in PVE.

Personally I enjoyed the Triple-Master. It really just depends on playstyle between the two though, as Pistoleer will be more accurate, but the Flamer from Commando is a rather nice weapon (and the flame dot helps )

With the weapon/armor equip delay....thanks Jedi....no more macroing a flamer to fire then unequiping it and move into UA3 so there is fire spray from your fists everywhere.

I would say just TKM and some defense mods, now that weapon delay is out, its worthless to use anything but unarmed.

The flamethrower is nice, but if I am within 16m of my target, Im going to close and start knucking their ears. The reason (myself included) like the TripleMaster is armed with a good republic blaster your just as good at 64m as you are at 0m and you get that great KD shot to then close to Melee range.

Yeah tri master can be quite good with a decent geo pistol, although without the ability to do any mind damage with it just sucks in pvp.
