dancers can dance with flourishes...why not meditation moves...same good old meditation line with moves...visual interaction instead of just kneeling and healing up. Give us something more to do...it is getting boring just sitting and waiting.

Hmmm isn't that the point of meditation? Sitting down, focusing your powers, not showing off the latest moves in the trade?

ok i didnt one star you , also ive being a tkm Since the start to me November , i love this profession and will not drop it , now agree with you on the different medatative stance in Thi chi and other martial arts , i think the only way this would work is to give powerboost a different move and well FOW we really cant change that , but id would like to see some more thing on the medate line at master maybe , but all in all i like are medate stance it is what difines us from alot of the other classes , and it is one of the best lines in the game , i would like to change are fight stance to a more martial art look in stead of a boxer look

So to the one star...eat a knuckler and to the bland forget it this game is not worth it any more...i'm done with defending this prof...think about it..knife to a gunfight...sure if we get close we will whip their asses, but honestly...guns win. Done with it...i hope it is nerfed and combat ballance breaks the whole thing down...done with it.TKM since July 5th 2003guess it was too much to think that there was inteligent conversation to be made on this forumretired as of now...phuck it...any other questions can be directed to that brick wall over there----->
Clearly you are in touch with your innerself.....
this is Teräs Käsi not Thi Chi
Thi Chi is a meditative art form that both centers the mind and body as one, many martial arts have kata movements that allow channell and focus to be achived.
In akido you envision movements of continuous spiral motion originating from your midsection spiraling both upwards like a coil and downwards...fluid motions create power.
So we should be siting there thinking about stuff that kinda sounds like sitting still...

So, because we don't agree on the way meditation should be performed, this makes people like me unintelligent? Well then, should there be "moves"? Sure thing, let's do the motion capture, animation, development and testing of these, surely not being bored for those 2 minutes it takes to meditate away most wounds is more important than: Pistoleer specials not working, smugglers having all sorts of issues, implementing dual wield for fencers and pistoleers, squad leaders not really living up to potential, creature handlers having issues and, well, the issues list for professions is pretty long.
Now, making meditation realistical so people like you don't get bored while doing it, I find that entirely unimportant. Of the professions I've tried, TK is by far the best functioning mechanically, yet we should sit back and let everyone wait with their bugfixes because sometimes and in some forms, people don't sit still while meditating. Dancer and musician flourishes have a real effect, you should make sure to ask for that while at it, say, doing a high kick meditation move will heal 10 action wounds. To me, meditation is sitting still, however unimaginative it may be, jumping around like a circus clown isn't my idea of it, whatever real life meditation counterparts may offer.
If you want to call the entire TK community and thereby myself unable to perform an "intelligent conversation", well, by all means do retire, I highly doubt you're able to contribute anymore with such an attitude.

Hey, guys....
Calm down, and please respect other people's opinions, even if you disagree...
It takes two to have an "intelligent conversation."

I've been a bit inactive in the last week or two in the forums due to real life but not along ago we were having a big talk about geting Kata's implimented. They were just ideas but I have a feeling thats what you thinking of.
The idea of "Meditation" moves I think just hit a few people the wrong way as it didn't make much sense but Kata's are something we very much liked the idea of & were talking of ideas to get them in. Wether we will get them who knows.
I'll try & track down the thread later & link it (unless someone beats me too it).

Kata isn't meditation... Unless you can heal yourself by doing jump kicks and screaming like mad man

"Whoa! A little hostile, are we not? Also, it's Thai Chi."
It's actually Tai Chi, unless Thailand has their own version of it.
(It can also be spelled "Tai Qi", the "Q" has a "CH" sound.)

I've seen it spelled both ways, depending on where you read about it. I'm willing to bet the "Tai" is the more traditional/correct spelling.
