if you log into tc-5 youll notice tka get no armor certs at all...going to be tough for tka:/

How is it going to be tough? Look at the chart, we are now THE tanks. All it means is we avoid, not absorb damage.

No certs but can we wear armor as a TK if we have certs from another profession?

My understanding is yes but you will lose the TK defenses in favor of the armor defenses.

So basically your forced to fight with TKM, and it makes having any other combat skills useless, or will our defenses still work with other weapons.

Noone gets armor certs.
Certain classes get armor mitigation, infact, most do.
TKA does NOT get armor mitigation.
But guess what, you can get skills other than TKM! You could get TKM/Master Fencer, or TKM/master Brawler!
Lots of options

correct but without the mods, tka will lose all defenses and accuracy mods as soon as they equip amror making it useless to be a tka if your going to wear it, however this counter-acts by you never even gettign hit

That's my understanding too...when it was explained to me awhile back it was explained as "they'll be really hard to hit, but when they get hit they get hit hard"...so, basically, you don't need armor, but you can wear it if you want to give up the avoidance factor (and the way you get rid of the penalties of wearing un-cert'd armor is to dabble for some certs)...

I think it's freakin awesome that out stats make us a Teras Kasi artist. Someone who protects themselves by protecting themselves...not by buying armor.

I use TKM as backup defenses and fighting if I get rushed while doing my Sniper (Rifleman) activities. So this now means i have to strip off my armor when they rush at me, if i want to have any chance of survivng CQC. This is STUPID !
