Perhaps we should take an active role this time around--a very active role--and select someone on our own and push them for the Devs to accept as a fait accompli? That would save them time and us time, though with the push-back of the revamp, little may be happening in the near future.
So, who here would best be qualified to serve as Correspondent? And please, those who don't know for pretty damn sure they're going to be around for a while don't bother volunteering.
Post your application here: why you want to be the corespondent, what you feel your qualifications are, how you want to represent us, and what you think of the TK's role in SWG. Feel free to metion other pertinent issues you think a correspondent should address.
(Note, I am not a Dev or anyone else with any power here--I'm just trying to get the ball rolling. As things are, if we don't do something, then either it doesn't get done or it gets done badly.)

It would be great if we could get the ball rolling. But it may be best if we hold our apps for when Th is ready. I dont think he's going to want to dig through some threads, he will just post the email address again and we can send them there.
Im sure he is busy, but it shouldnt be too hard for him to setup the app process again.

Riflemen are passing 90 days without a correspondant. Etragahl probably has the right idea in this case - if the community can come up with a candidate that the majority will support.

As has been noted, with the combat revamp possibly, maybe, finally getting some attention at least as a sidelight from the Devs, now is NOT the time to be forgotten as a profession. We need to step up and take charge--waiting for them is only going to cost us pain later. If nothing else, if we can whittle it down here to just a few people, then that's much less they have to go through. All the better if we can actually select someone ourselves (don't really expect that, but people can be mature sometimes

I would like to nominateRyutek he is clearly active in this forum. And he has been in the game apparently since the beginning. I have yet to see him involved in any except positive posts. And it is clear that he really cars and knows about our profession. Therefore he would be my first choice as our new Correspondent if he is interested in accepting the post.

Agree on the nominations, but there has to be others ready to step up to the challange. Dont like elections with only one candidate; as long as we dont get another one of those "get-the-job-and-move-on-guys". Not that I dont understand our latest correspondent. RL > SWG. But still he could atleast have dropped us a line about it. As some other fellow said, would only have taken like 5 mins or so.
If we could get the great smuggler correspondent to post on the dev forum about it ? ( Not sure if you are able to do this Caylin, but it would be great ) Wouldn't want to end up as the Riflemens do we ?!

I would like to volunteer for the position. Many of you may not know me, but I try to set a positive helpful tone in getting the TKA community rallied together. I currently attend college so you wont have to worry about me suddenly leaving for a job. The only time I can possibly think of leaving is for a weekend to study for exams or whatnot.

I digress, we were ALL wary of the last correspondent - we questioned his ability, since he had literally no posts and had just become a TKA... TH picked him, and TH proved he has no idea what he was doing. It's time for us to pick him, and if TH doesn't like it, well, he can do what he normally does, which is ignore us.

I'd like to put my name in, I'm very interested, but I also very much respect whomever else is interested.
Many of you know me, some do not -- I am kinda firey, maybe even too much -- but also know when to accept my place. I've always tried to make posts or threads to help not me, not new players-- but all people in general. I understand many people want quick answers, or suggestions for their profession, but I also know many people are new to forums, and don't understand to just immediately check the sticky's. (but we do make them learn)
I work, and attend college, so I have a great grasp of responsibility, time isn't a factor for me either -- I can easily fulfill any duty here, and to RL at the same time. I use SWG as a release, a chance to enjoy a game and take a break. And you can all tell my forum time means I am very active...
...but not just with TKA. I try to be active in almost any forum, I have posted in many professions because I believe those professions, like TKA must be intergrated well with one another. That while a patch affecting...Pikeman for example might not affect TKA, it's side-effects might. I've always believed in working with TKA to the best of my ability, and keeping and helping everyone out at the same time.
I'm a very vocal advocate for TKA (hence my threads on guides, and the legends of TKA), but I also share the same frustrations as any other player does at times. But those frustrations can be turned into good results.
Above all else, I want TKA to remain what it is: truly unique, and working. But I also want to better the profession without throwing it out of balance. I understand that people want new weapons...not just for other damage types, but just for something new -- a change, something to look at. *eye candy* I, like everyone else want a clear demonstration and understanding of defensive acuity, and want it to work properly, but I also want it balanced and fair.
I want a lot for Teras Kasi, and Star Wars Galaxies. Because while TKA is a great profession in a good game, I would love to be a part of making it stay a great profession in a great game.
I also will happily support anyone who is our choice for this spot, but I am very interested in it.

What's that I hear? More nominations? More application posts? Oh, though I think we should get more settled in this thread before officially applying, since someone's bound tosend their's in, it wouldn't hurt to send an application into the email posted somewhere above as well as post here. We can still give one or a few people our "seal of approval."
So let's keep this rolling!
