Thread: Transdoshan...Does It Matter?

Hi folks,

I am wondering if being a Transdoshan has any real impact on a TKA character template or is the difference so negligable that it's not worth being one?

Iam trying to decide on whether to make a human or transdoshan. It would be kinda cool to be a lizard and the bonuses would be a nice touch if they actually work.

I did see a post though where someone stated that because Transdoshans can't wear gloves and boots, they arevulnerable if they take a hitthere.

CanI get some advice as to the pros and cons to help me make my decision?

Thanks!

Save yourself the grief and go human. Armor has become so necessary in this game that even the one missing piece of armor is a one hit kill waiting to happen regardless of buffs.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will go human then. I find humans have the easiest stats to manipulate for migration.

I have a Trando, and the extra unarmed stats really helped early on, but now that I'm progressing throught the TKA trees the effect seems to become less and less significant. Like said, Zabraks are pretty cool. They have useful defenses and they have TWO special skills that are both really cool (Vitalize- temporary stat boost, Equilibrium- redistributes HAM points, so your HAM all have the same value). Trandos get Regeneration (Temp consitution buff), which is sort of neat, but not that great since trandos have great consitution as it is.

My toon is a trando. The lack of boots and gloves don't mean anything. They aren't required since the lower shins and hands are naturally armored. When wearing armor, I never get hit without the dampened effects of armor. Secondly, you may find it interesting that trandos have really nice secondary stats by nature. Just a useful bit of info. In my opinion, however, the three best TKA races are:

Zabrak
Trandoshan
Wookie

Colonel Th'Gils Rooc
Webel Ace Pilot x2
I would ace more squadrons if they'd just fix the remaster bug.

Im almost TKM trandoshan...

The gloves/boots doesn't bug me. I dont really get hit there enough to affect me, besides TKs go through boots and gloves pretty fast

Havent mastered tk with my human on the other server, so can't say if speed/damage really shows a difference, but the Stats do.

Trandoshans get a low cap for secondaries in the action. I maxed all his action to balance the character, luckily you do get kickbutt health stats, so it pretty much evens out, unless you like having high stamina, like i do with me human.

In practice you won't notice the lack of gloves and boots much. In the world of eyeshot, master head shot and the like.... it's unlikely you would be shot in the hands and feet.

As a TKM Trando .. I almost never wear anything but buffs and my boxers and I school people in full sets of armor. Race will only do so much if you dont have strategy.

Being a Trando TKM seems to give me a slight edge in a lot of situations and I can school anyother TKM with or without armor. Infact I almost schooled this one dirty Rebel at Ancorhead this one time in a duel unbuffed, unarmored with only a trusty PB to help me vs. his fully armored/buffed self! I didn't win but it was close.
