Rude people sending you requests forclothes...i know we all get em......so fine you do your best to be poliet...and you make their orders for them....and then THEN!!!!!!!! this is the kicker.....they ask if you can fly to where ever they may be....and deliver it to them.....AKK it makes me MADDER than STINK! I mean like i have nothing better to do that fly around to every single person and drop off orders......the last time this happened i offered to place their order on a vendor for pick up...and she INSISTED on me hand delivering.....I FLAT out refused not only because i had two other people waiting on me in my shop to make orders for them but because i refuse to be at someones beck and call esp. when they have shown me nothing but rudeness lol......what is the deal with RUDE girls!!!! they need to be STOPPED!
sorry

This is for all crafting proffessions.
Because you are not in same mind with client. Period.
This was the first reason I become tailor, to craft for my own

I always tell people to mail me with their orders. Saves me the hassle of sending /tells, and lets me get to the order on my own time. I then send them an email, including the wp to my shop, to them when I've put the order up on my vendor. I've only had two instantces where someone did not pick up their order, and one of those was from a rather moody former guildmate who has thankfully quit the game lol.

yah i usually request emails as well...however....I know how important CLOTHES are...so i am not opposed to making items right away if i am not busy with other things...and most times i enjoy my interactions....but there are always a FEW out there that have to make life completely difficult!
why can't we just kill those people?

My move when someone wants me to deliver to distant points is to tell them there is a 12k delivery fee. When they ask why, I tell them it is 12k because that is what it takes to interest a newbie guild member to go and make the delivery, because otherwise they could be running missions or doing quests. That usually results in them suddenly finding the willingness to come and pick up their order from my vendor. If not, then someone who can really use the money gets an easy way to make some extra cash.
But yes, it is very frustrating, particularly after long /tell sessions wherein you explain for the millionth time how clothing enhancements work, which ones are available, what clothing takes what enhancements they are interested in, and then going through the whole color wheel before they finally give up and tell you they want their order in all black.
/sigh

This is why I keep a really well-stocked vendor and then disappear into the night, like batman. Then the smacktards can talk back to the vendor all they want

I wish I could do that! People now even know that my secret alt is really me! Part of the reason why I want to unlock is so that I can have a new secret alt!

Definitely aggravating, I agree.
And really annoying are the ones who won't senda mail and just keep sending you tells describing their order and asking if it's done yet. What part of "mail me your order and I will mail you back when it is done and the WP to the vendor where you can pick it up" do they not understand? I am the Mayor and Guild leader, so I am often very busy with city/guild management stuff. Or heaven forbid, an honest-to-gosh live customer in the shop getting a custom order done. A live customer always outranks a /tell or mail order one. I also explain I have a terrible memory and if they don't mail me their order, that I WILL forget it.
Or the ones who refuse to go look on your vendor. Customer: "Can you make me a pair of black uniform boots?" Me: "There are several on my vendor. Blah, blah, blah." *sends WP to shop* Customer: I don't have time to go browsing vendors. Can you make them and deliver them too? Meet me at blah blah. I will be there sometime in the next hour or so." Me: *boggle* Umm. No.
I used to deliver and still do if it's a large bulk order regular customer (like a chef whoorders full runs of trim every week). But ifI am three planets away doing harvester runs, or happen to be doing Rancor Alley withmy guild, many customers still think it's perfectly reasonable to demandI drop whateverI amdoing, fly home tomy shop, make their order, then fly to them to personally deliver it. Right now. (Sometimes meaning I would need to switch from my combat char to my tailor char! Hello? I am buffed and tanking a rancor just now, you want me to do what?!)
I actually had a guy do that to me once for just a pair of boots! Yes! They were emergency boots I guess. I said no. A lot. He was persistent. No! Gah!
As for the extremely well-stockedvendor... an old problem has returned with the influx of newbies lately. They ask me to make items I know are on the vendor. All the time. They argue with me that it is not in stock. I look. It is too. *sigh* Then I find out they don't know how to sort by category -or- they had no idea there is a Next Items button. *screams* I hear this a lot lately, "Can you just pull it for me then? I can't find it." So the well-stocked vendor gambit can often backfire.
Please. Make the Next Items button huge, red and blinky!? Please?
I am always polite. But you must be firm with some people. If you are busy, say no and stick to it. Unless they offer to throw a silly amount of credits at you. Then at least consider it.

I agree as well, getting folks to use catigories takes alot of time, getting them to use the next is exasperating...

no wonder why I can never find jessi
it's a good thing to play on multiple servers... if you want to play but don't want to deal with customers, just take a break elsewhere

Im allways polite, however if people areabrupt withme im more stand-off formal type polite, rather than my usuall lovable friendly self.
I never deliver. I direct anyone to my vendor first before sending me any custom order, unless its a regular (in which case they'd know if i have it already or not).
But to be honest i never get people asking me to deliver, no idea why. And generally people are at least civil with me even if they are sometimes a bit clueless to what tailors do to achieve the items we make.
The few times i have been anoyed however is when ive directed people to my vendor and they lie and say they didnt find what they was looking for, and give me a list of items they want which are all on my vendor anyway.
Example of something that irritates me
L337: Hi can you make me clothes please?
Me : <sends waypoint> visit my vendors, if you cant find what your looking for email me a list of exactly what you need
L337: i didnt find anything on your vendors can you make me clothes?
Me: Like i said, if you didnt find what your looking for email me a list of what you need.
EMAIL :
Black Melee defence shirt with 4 socket
Black Melee defence camo with 4 socket
Me: ah i see, how many do you need? i can start a factory run now but as you probably saw i only have about 50 of each on my vendor at the moment. Let me know how many you need.
At this point everything goes quiet and he bought what he wanted off my vendor after i logged later that day
Vendors are what i pride myself on as a tailor, when someone says they cant find something on there, i take it personal and make sure that item will be on there in future. So when people dont even bother looking at my vendors then i get a little grumpy
