Title says it all... is there any point to this schematic?

Hmm, well I've been told I look cute in the black one I made for myself but aside from that....

Well..it gives bonuses to clothing assembly and clothing experimentation.

Clothing experimentation is only of use in 1 item in the whole tailor schematics list: armor padding, used by armorsmiths to make wookiee armor.

As to clothing assembly...it should give you less chance of critical failures while crafting. Not that I have noticed much difference though.

It is just another more or less useless item that got added for "content", hehe...

I finally (after, what, three months now?) got a Tailor apron schematic so I can make one to add to my cool items display. What could possibly say Master Tailor better than a self-crafted Tailor Crafting Apron?

Otherwise...yeah, they don't have too many practical applications.

I think the point of it was to annoy people, that's all I can figure. You know how when you finally get that locked container and you search far and wide and finally find a smuggler, and go out to meet them, and pay them, and he messes the first one up so you give him a second one, and he opens the second one and there is 1 unit of wheat and a really bad cdef pistol in it? It's kinda like that, lol. And it's times like that, that you just know there's some dev laughing his a$$ off at you. "Look.. he got the TAILOR apron... hahahaha, let's see him try to sell THAT"

…I just had a thought…not sure why it never occurred to me before. How much y'all wanna bet they meant to make an armorsmith apron and botched the mods?

With a +5 to experimentation, wouldn't that, combined with skill tapes, add an extra experimentation point, thereby making our wookiee pillows more uber? /flex

What amazes me, is that I had 5 apron schematics but didn't get a single tailor one. I got two Medic, Two Chef, and One Architecht....how weird.

How do you get the Schematics? Where do they drop? How many uses per schematic?

I was up around 25 or so before I finally got a Tailor one. It is pretty strange. Just unlucky, I guess.

They primarily drop on the Bazaar.

Actually, they're quest rewards. They have three uses, but you can make factory schematics and get a few more items per use that way before you run out of identical looted components. For more info, head on over to Looted Tailoring Schematics at swgtailor.com. (I haven't checked lately, is there a better one linked in the FAQ? Or at least one that's more readable without overriding the site's CSS?

I've had two apron schematics. One was a tailor one, the other a chef one.

I kept one of the tailor aprons for myself, figuring that eventually (say, next year, maybe) the devs may implement clothing experimentation or something. Who knows? The other two I stuck on my vendor. For some reason, one has sold (at 70k, no less). Go figure. I figured I'd have to give the things away.
