This is something that they were talking about doing at Fanfest as well, so I am going to look into it.

There was an Ithorian bandolier that was given out as a reward for completing one of the beginning pilot missions. To the best of my knowledge, that is the only bandolier that was able to contain items. I even took master tailor with my Beta toon and was not able to make bandolier that was able to hold items, so it looks like it was just a reward perk for pilots.

Does it really effect us that much? Granted, we'd sell less backpacks for personal use(I don't sell that many anyway), but I'm assuming these bandoliers don't have sockets and can't be enhanced. Most of the people that buy my backpacks, buy them for storage purposes in houses or vendors. It would be great if we could craft bandoliers with storage /dream

Well the discussion at fanfest centered around us wanting to either wear bandoliers for storage or wear them with backpacks specifically because of the whole enhanced-bandolier issue. Poor doctors, no WAY can they wear enhanced bandoliers.

Correct, the reward bandolier did not have any sockets. I seem to recall that my Ithorian toon could not wear a backpack, so maybe that was why they did it? I could be wrong. All those late nights playing Beta JTL have made my memory a little foggy. ![]()
And I specifically recall it was called an "Ithorian Mercenary Bandolier" or something like that. It was specific to Ithorians, unless my drinking / chocolate intake was heavier than normal when I first got it.

Heya,
in the first days of the beta a bandolier has the same function as a backpack. You were able to put 50 Items into it. I was really happy about this. Why does this not work anymore?
Yesterday a mate got a bandolier reward from a Tier 1 mission. This one is like a backpack. The craftable bandoliers should be the same

Actually anything that has 'cargo pocket' in must act same.
And cargo pockets must be containers like looted ones

Of course we've been requesting that all bandoliers have storage (trust me, as a wookiee this is a big deal) but currently that's not happening. I was inJTL beta for the last month and as far as I know the reward bandoliers were the only ones that ever had this implemented. Don't know about the "first days of beta" but if this was something they were considering they've apparently decided against it for some reason.

Only the Ithorians got bandolier rewards that could be used as packs. I think the other races got flightsuits.
I would love to be able to ear a bandolier instead of a pack for 3 good reasons. #1 - it's a change from seeing everyone wearing packs #2 - sockets work in bandoliers #3 - bandoliers take Bio tissues.

I was an Ithorian freelance pilot doing the missions from the trainer in Mos Eilsey during the beta. Things may have changed. I got it when I completed the first few missions for him. Maybe even the first one, I can't recall.

I think wookies and ithorians get this as a reward after completing the first set off pilot missions for rebel or freelance. I'm not sure about imperial missions though. The only imp missions I did was with a bothan and they got the helmet and flight suit, but couldn't wear the helmet.
