Hi all,

I'm getting upset with all the high lvl tailor drops. I found a purple robe of honor on the bazaar for 500c (Master Tailor item). Two of my customers already have looted gunmen's dusters (fieldwear 4). Another reported seeing a red gunman's drop today! This is absurb and needs to be addressed by the devs ASAP! I see people running around in looted clothing that is sometimes higher than i can make and i'm Fieldwear 4.

I ask all tailors to work together to get this changed. This drops are too frequent and need to be eliminated! I'm heading over to the Dev Board to start the petition now. Please lend your support to this important issue for all tailors by keeping the Dev Board Petition thread on the first page until this is fixed!

Thanks =)

Aaissa,

I have to agree, I see people walking around in colors I can't even think of making now, and can't help but wonder where it came from. The real problem is not only are they dropping items we can't make yet they are dropping outfits. I spoke to someone who got pants, boots, shirt that all matched and in a purple color that isn't anywhere on the palette at my level. This must be addressed or perhaps we can expect to see bounty hunter packs dropping next?

this is my bump and my yea for nerfing these drops. after all they did it for the weapons and I think our road is harder to create than that.

if anything, make looted items decay like regular items.

Yeah it's getting absurd with some of the stuff I've seen people running around in now. I'll go sign up on this. While we are at it let's get clothing decay period put in. Otherwise once we max out our skills we'll quickly go out of business because everyone will have what they want for clothing.

There's also a post started by Anyanka in 7/5 about many tailoring issues in the SWG discussion board, so that's another good place to post to try to raise general awareness of tailoring issues. It includes posts about high level loot drops.

I am only a novice tailor but I got a gunmens duster day 1 off like my 5th kill on Tatooine.. it's not a spectacular color but it actually matches the sand and I've got quite used to it.. it's kinda dissapointing to know that I won't be able to make one myself until fieldwear 4 and then it may take me a while to match even it's tame color...

I've seen oranges, blues, greens, reds etc that are impossible for all but master tailors drop off mobs I could kill when I didnt' even have novice marksman using my noob cdef... it's rather annoying.

I have to agree with this,,

I mean, by the time I can actually make dusters, 5000 of them will have dropped on the server and no one will even need me anymore.

Dusters are huge business for me... 25 sold out of my vendor in 1 day, and that's not including the custom-colored ones I made. Get them, advertise you can make them, people will flock to you for them, and you can charge well for them.

I say limit their drops. One of the best parts of this game is the player-run economy and the reliance on other people's skills. By rewarding the slicing down of a few men with high level artisan clothes there is a premature introduction of items that most can't yet make. It would be silly to be able to loot house deeds from kills. Architects would not be pleased! Not quite the same but it highlights the point...

I can not find the petition in the dev forum. Can someone please give the exact thread title so I can sign it? Thanks.

"Get them, advertise you can make them"

That's the problem, some of us can't make them. By the time the casual crafter gets to the point where they CAN make them, the uber crafters like yourself and dropped items will mean that they'll be NO market for us to sell since everyone will have one and they never degrade.

I'm happy you could spent the time the first two weeks to become a wonderful tailor, but please don't assume everyone has that kind of time.
